Isabella's POV
The final touches of the apartment were completed today . Kevin and I surveyed my new apartment, a wide smile spreading across my face. Months of planning, construction, and decoration had culminated in this moment. The living room, once a chaotic construction zone, now boasted a sleek, modern design. A plush, cream-colored sofa sat against a wall painted a calming shade of blue. Large windows, now adorned with elegant, flowing curtains, offered a panoramic view of the city. A state-of-the-art entertainment system, complete with a massive flat-screen TV, promised countless hours of movie nights and gaming sessions.
The kitchen, the heart of every woman , gleamed with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. A large island, perfect for food preparation and casual conversations, stood in the center of the room. Bar stools were neatly arranged around the island, ready for guests to perch and mingle. The dining area, adjacent to the kitchen, featured a long, polished wooden table, set with my finest china and crystal glassware. Soft lighting from a modern chandelier created a warm and inviting ambiance. The main bedroom and other bedrooms, each meticulously designed with comfort and style in mind, were ready for guests. " He really did his job." Kevin complimented smiling. " Of course!" I replied and continued my survey.
In the evening
Tonight is the night. The apartment warming party. I had sent out invitations weeks ago, and the RSVPs has been pouring in. I had meticulously planned every detail, from the music playlist to the selection of hors d'oeuvres. The aroma of freshly baked pastries and gourmet appetizers filled the air, a testament to my culinary skills. The bar was fully stocked, with a selection of fine wines, craft beers, and handcrafted cocktails. As the evening approached, I felt a mix of excitement and anticipation. I had invited my closest friends, I wanted my brothers to come but they were all busy preparing for next week's gala, and a few new acquaintances, hoping to create a memorable night.
Among the guests, I was particularly excited about Nick's presence. Yes of course. I have developed a strong connection with him over the past few months. I had been secretly hoping that he would come. The doorbell rang, signaling the arrival of the first guest. I took a deep breath, smoothed down my dress. It was a stunning, short gown in a rich jewel-toned color, perfectly accentuating my curves. The fitted bodice features intricate beading and embroidery, adding a touch of glamour and sophistication. The flowing skirt drapes elegantly around my body, catching the light with every movement. With its classic design and luxurious details I made myself. I opened the door with a welcoming smile. Soon, the apartment was buzzing with conversation and laughter. Music filled the air, and the dance floor quickly became the center of attention. I circulated among my guests, ensuring everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. I made my way with Winnie through the crowd, greeting old friends, and introducing new acquaintances.
As the night progressed, I noticed Nick standing alone near the window, admiring the city lights. I seized the opportunity to approach him. "Enjoying the view?" I asked, my voice soft and inviting. He turned, a warm smile spreading across his face. "Absolutely," he replied. "Your apartment is stunning,Isabella." He complimented.My heart fluttered at his compliment. We talked for hours, our conversation flowing effortlessly. We discussed our shared interests, our dreams, and our aspirations. As the night drew to a close, i found myself captivated by Nick's charm and wit.
The party was a resounding success. The food was delicious, the music was lively, and the company was delightful. But for me, the highlight of the night was the time I spent with Nick. As the last of the guests departed, I found myself standing alone with Nick. "Thank you for coming," I said, my voice filled with genuine appreciation. "I had a wonderful time," Nick replied, his eyes meeting mine . "I'm glad you did," I said. A comfortable silence fell between us.Finally, Nick leaned in and gently kissed me. My heart skipped a beat. The kiss was tender and sweet not wanting for it to end I leaned in and wrapped my arms around his neck. I opened my mouth to give him complete access. The kiss felt right, me and him,everything. He pulled away after minutes and it left me wanting more. As we stood there, bathed in the soft glow of the city lights, I knew that this was just the beginning of something special.
"Have you asked him if he is single?" Winnie asked wiping her hands with napkin. " Yes, No ! I don't know!" I replied looking away. " Don't let what happened with Ray happen again, Bella." Winnie said " Nothing is going to happen. He's different. Okay?" I said and moved to the living room " Okay. So when are you planning on telling him how you feel?" She asked trailing behind me as I moved upstairs. " I don't know" I replied moving to my closet . " Make it quick because you won't know if you're the only one crushing on him. I mean he's really hot ." She said and I turned to her with an annoyed expression. " Really?" I asked with an arched brow . " Not like I like him but who wouldn't. He's like a Greek God with his sharp jaw and his grey ey…" she was saying when I cut in " Stop it." I threw the pillow at her . " Someone is jealous." She said jumping on my bed . " No, I'm not." I said also joining and hitting her with my pillow. " Yes you are !" She replied also hitting my back with another pillow. Our laughter and giggles filled the apartment before we drifted off to sleep.
It was a nice Saturday morning . Since I didn't have work, Winnie insisted we go for a walk at the local park. We were walking when we saw Nick sitting with a beautiful black haired woman.They were laughing and generally enjoying each other's company. Unbeknownst to them, I happened to be walking through the park as well. I spotted Nick from a distance, his back to me, and the way he was laughing, the ease with which he interacted with the person beside him, sent a prick through me . I intended to walk past them but he noticed me and called me.I wanted to ignore him but Winnie stopped and tucked my arm . " Yess." I turned sharply at them. " Where are you off to ?" He asked smiling " None of your business." I replied rudely earning a glare from Winnie . He stood up and moved toward me . "Please excuse us for a moment ." He told Winnie who happily moved away. I stood akimbo with hands crossed over my chest. " Why are you behaving like this?" He asked moving closer as I moved backwards. He groaned and held my waist pulling me into his chest. " Leave me alone." I was trying not to cause a scene. " I won't till you tell me why?" He asked with gritted teeth " Okay ? You want to know why? Huh? After kissing me last night you come and sit here with one of your conquests." I said throwing my hands in the air. " Haha . You're so cute. That's my sister, Sofia. " He said pecking my lips. " What?" I asked " Yeah. I'm just his sister." I looked at where the voice came from to meet his sister. A strange mix of emotions washed over me. Relief, because I wasn't ready for a romantic complication. Curiosity, because I didn't know he had a sister. And, perhaps, a tiny bit of disappointment, quickly suppressed. He pulled me toward where he was and made me sit on his lap ." Sofia , meet my girlfriend, Isabella,"." He introduced. They word girlfriend warmed my heart. " Nice meeting the girl my brother has been talking about ever since we came here." She said which made me blush. We talked for a while and I got to know she was also a designer. I watched them for a few moments, a small smile playing on my lips as I observed their easy camaraderie. Then, deciding not to interrupt their time together, I placed my head on his shoulder and went through my phone.Winnie texted me saying she already went to my apartment to prepare lunch. After they were done, he escorted me to my apartment and leaned in teasingly kissing. I groaned as I held his collar to deepen the kiss. I pulled away smirking. " See you soon , boyfriend!" " Byee girlfriend." He replied blowing me and kiss and walking away.
