Chapter 6 - Another world

Author's POV____

Luna burst into her room, her heart racing like a drum. She closed the door behind her and leaned against it, still catching her breath. Her fingers slowly lifted to her lips.

"He... kissed me," she whispered to herself, cheeks still glowing. "He kissed me..."

She spun once, a quiet smile blooming on her face-until the door creaked open again.

In flew her seven fairies-Lira, Vina, Sira, Floe, Myra, Sole, and Crysie-all buzzing with excitement.

"LUNA!!!" they shouted in perfect harmony.

"No, no, no! Don't say a word-" Luna tried to hide under a pillow, but it was too late.

"You kissed a prince!!" giggled Vina, doing backflips midair.

"I thought only we could make you that red," teased Myra.

"Was it soft? Warm? Did he taste like fairy berries?" asked Sira, fluttering right above Luna's head.

Luna threw the pillow at them, laughing through her embarrassment. "You're all impossible!"

Then, Crysie flew forward, holding a sealed envelope with a royal blue wax stamp.

"This came from him," she said with a wink.

Luna took it carefully, heart thudding. She sat at her table, opened the letter, and began to read silently:

---

My Dearest Luna,

Tonight was magical, not because of the stars or the garden, but because you were there.

There's something about you that draws me in-your honesty, your laughter, the way your eyes glow when you're happy.

I overheard a little whisper about an island... one you and your fairies once visited.

What if we returned there together?

You, me, and your little guardians.

No guards. No rules. No crowns. Just us.

Meet me at dawn tomorrow, outside the Moon Gate. I'll be waiting-with a boat, and hopefully, with your heart.

-Sol

---

Luna finished reading, her hands trembling slightly from excitement. A soft smile stretched across her lips.

"He... wants to come with us," she whispered. "He remembered."

"EEE!" Floe squealed. "You're going on a secret island date!"

"With us tagging along, of course," added Sole proudly.

"But wait," said Lira, floating with her arms crossed. "Both of you sneaking out of Lunaria? That's royal-level risky."

Luna stood up, eyes sparkling with thrill. "Then we better make it worth the risk."

The fairies burst into cheers, circling her like a protective halo.

"Tomorrow," Luna said, walking to her wardrobe, "we meet at the Moon Gate. I'll bring the spirit of the crown..."

She turned with a grin.

"...and the heart of a girl who just fell in love."

NEXT MORNING ____

The first golden rays of dawn kissed the skies of Lunaria, painting the clouds in soft pinks and oranges. Inside her chamber, Luna stood in front of the mirror, holding up a long, flowing red gown-gorgeous, yes, but far too impractical for what she was about to do.

"This is all I have..." she muttered, frustrated.

Just then, her seven little saviors flew in, eyes sparkling with excitement.

"We're not letting you go to a secret island date dressed like a walking curtain!" declared Vina with a playful scoff.

"Let us handle this!" said Lira, cracking her tiny knuckles.

The fairies surrounded her, buzzing with energy, hands glowing with magic. With a whirl of sparkling wind, the gown transformed before Luna's eyes.

The hem shortened perfectly above her knees-graceful but easy to move in. The sleeves disappeared into delicate rose-petal straps. They added a soft crown made of fresh red roses that shimmered faintly under the morning light.

Her once heavy, royal gown had become a travel-ready masterpiece-elegant, yet free.

"Woah..." Luna whispered, turning in front of the mirror.

"Pretty enough to make a prince faint," said Myra, winking.

"Ready?" asked Crysie, extending her hand.

Luna nodded, determination flashing in her eyes. She took all their hands.

"Let's go."

In a flash of soft light, they vanished from the palace-unseen, unfollowed. Luna had cast a powerful spell of silence and misdirection. No one would know they were gone until it was too late.

They appeared just outside the shimmering walls created by Celesthera, the boundary protecting Lunaria.

And there he was.

Sol stood near the edge of the silver lake, beside a sleek enchanted boat glowing with faint blue runes. He wore a simple white shirt and soft navy trousers, looking nothing like a prince-but somehow, even more charming.

He turned the moment they arrived, his blue eyes lighting up at the sight of her.

"Luna," he breathed, walking forward. "You look..."

"Don't say anything cheesy," Luna warned with a grin, cheeks already pink.

"...breathtaking," Sol finished anyway, taking her hand and giving it a gentle kiss.

Her fairies snickered behind her.

"I see you brought the whole royal army," Sol teased, glancing at the fairies.

"They come with me," Luna said proudly, "everywhere."

Sol smiled. "Then the boat has just enough room for all of us."

Luna looked out at the lake, her heart fluttering with excitement.

"No guards. No rules," she whispered.

"No crowns," Sol added, offering her a hand.

She took it.

"Just us."

And with that, they stepped into the boat, leaving behind Lunaria-and beginning a new memory on the water.

The boat gently rocked as it reached the calm center of the glowing Lunareth Sea, sunlight dancing on the surface like scattered diamonds. Solenyra, standing tall and calm, gripped the edge of the boat and looked out into the endless water. A strange silence settled around them.

Lunastia tilted her head. "Why did we stop, Sol?" she asked, her voice soft but filled with curiosity.

Sol didn't answer right away.

Instead, her seven fairies exchanged glances—Lira's eyes wide with realization. Before Luna could ask anything else, Lira grabbed Crysie and whispered, "It's happening."

"What's happening?" Myra asked, confused.

"He's going to propose!" Lira squealed quietly, trying not to ruin the moment.

Without giving Luna a chance to react, Lira turned to the others. "Quick! Let's go to the island. They need to be alone."

"But Luna didn't say—" Floe began, but Lira grabbed her hand, and in a whirl of sparkling dust and flapping wings, all seven fairies zipped away toward the island, giggling and shouting:

"Good luck, Luna!"

"Don't forget to say yes!"

Luna stared after them in shock, her brows furrowed. "W–what just happened?" she whispered, turning back to Solenyra, utterly confused.

Sol didn't say anything at first.

Instead, he pulled out a small, shimmering diamond box, its surface catching the light like stardust. He stepped toward her, his usually composed face showing a nervous yet earnest expression.

"I wanted this moment to be just us," he said gently.

Luna's breath caught as he opened the box.

Inside sat a breathtaking blue ring, glowing with an ethereal light. The gem seemed to hold an entire night sky inside it. She gasped, her hands flying to her lips.

"Lunastia Valeska," he began, his voice low, eyes never leaving hers, "from the moment I saw you, I knew you were different. I've heard tales about you—your kindness, your strength, your spirit. But nothing anyone said could prepare me for what I feel now, standing in front of you."

Luna's eyes widened, her cheeks blooming red like roses in full bloom.

"I don't just want to admire you from afar. I want to stand beside you, laugh with you, fight beside you, and live every moment with you," he said. "I want to call you mine—not as a prince, not because of duty—but as a man who loves you."

Luna's hands trembled, her heart pounding louder than the waves below.

"And yes," Sol added, smiling gently, "our fathers have spoken. They're thrilled by the idea of our union. But I told them your voice matters more than anyone's. I would never take your hand unless you freely give it."

He stepped closer and knelt on one knee in front of her, holding up the ring.

"This ring," he continued, "was once the last possession of the god Zephyrius. Every crown prince of Sylorine receives it. But to me, it's just a beautiful thing—until now. Now, I want it to be yours. Because you, Luna, are the most beautiful thing I've ever known."

There was a long pause, the wind stilling, the sea holding its breath.

Luna's eyes welled with tears—tears of joy, shock, and pure emotion. She stared at Sol, who looked up at her with nothing but love and hope in his eyes.

"I…" she whispered, her voice cracking. "I never imagined this... Not like this…"

He waited, holding her gaze.

And finally, with a radiant smile breaking across her lips, she nodded. "Yes, Sol. Yes, I'll stay with you… always."

Sol slipped the glowing ring onto her finger and stood, pulling her into a warm embrace as the sea around them glittered in approval.

From far off on the island, seven pairs of fairy wings fluttered behind bushes, cheering, laughing, and trying not to cry all at once.

The Enchanted Island___.

The boat slid softly onto the silvery shore of the island, the sunlight dancing across the crystal-clear waves. As Luna stepped down, hand-in-hand with Solenyra, the seven fairies were already waiting—hovering above flowers, excitement fluttering in their wings.

"There she is!" Lira squealed.

"My Luna's finally engaged!" Floe sang, spinning mid-air.

As Luna stepped onto the warm sand, the fairies surrounded her, giggling, squealing, and twirling in joy.

"Let us see the ring again!"

"It sparkles like stardust!"

"Oh, you're really in love! Look at your cheeks!"

Luna laughed, lifting her hand as the glowing blue ring caught the light. Crysie placed her tiny hands on her heart, sighing dramatically. "You look like a queen already."

Solenyra, still holding Luna's hand, chuckled quietly as he watched the fairies flood around her like living confetti. "I've never seen you like this," he said softly.

"I've never felt like this," Luna whispered back, meeting his eyes with a glow in hers that rivaled the ring.

The day that followed was nothing short of dreamlike.

They wandered through the island's heart, where reality melted into magic. A waterfall shimmered like moonlight, its pool glittering with star-shaped petals that drifted along the surface. From nearby trees bloomed flowers bearing precious fruits—emeralds, sapphires, rubies, and sparkling opals instead of apples or pears.

The fairies darted between crystal vines, their laughter echoing like music as they splashed through the water.

Luna and Sol finally settled beneath a moonflower tree, whose wide, glowing petals curled like silver silk above them. Around them, diamond-tipped plants glistened, and tiny baby fairies flitted from blossom to blossom, their wings dusted with gold.

Butterflies the size of Luna's palm circled lazily above, and in the distance—at the very peak of the island's tallest mountain—two snow-white unicorns stood side by side, their horns glowing under the sun.

Luna leaned her head on Sol's shoulder, both of them silent, soaking in the beauty around them.

"Sol," she said at last, her voice dreamy, "this place… it feels like it's from another world."

"It is," he replied softly. "And you're the only person I ever wanted to bring here."

She looked up at him with wonder. "Why me?"

He smiled, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "Because even in a place where trees grow diamonds and waterfalls sing, you're still the most magical thing here."

Luna blushed, and somewhere behind them, the fairies giggled.

"Are you listening to us?" Sol called out playfully.

"No!" Lira shouted.

"Yes!" said Crysie at the same time.

Luna burst into laughter, the sound echoing like bells across the enchanted island.
