Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 - Jiraiya vs Akira

Jiraiya wasn't a idiot. He was actually a genius and had huge ninja talent. It was just that with his perverted and goofy nature, coupled with being compared to Tsunade and Orochimaru, he was made to look like one.

When he grew up, his genjutsu was his only weak point. as shown in his final battle with Nagato. Currently, though his taijutsu was far better than any normal civilian five year old, certainly more refined and stronger, he still had no proper backing.

Akira on the other hand, was born into the prestigious Senju clan, which was only rivaled by the Uchiha, and more so after Madara defected. And not only that, he was a direct descendent of both the Shodaime and Nidaime Hokage, as well as the first Kyuubi Jinchuuriki. With such a prestigious and pure bloodline, it would be a wonder and a disgrace had he lost to a civilian boy with no significant background.

Of course, Akira still trained hard instead of just relying on his bloodline and natural talent. He was still weaker than Tsunade when they fought purely with taijutsu, but he still had his monstrous strength that was practically inherited through the family.

Jiraiya had a sloppy, perverted grin as he looked at some of the Uchiha and Hyuga girls, both of which clans had a certain grace to them. And if there was one thing even Tobirama had to admit about the Uchiha, the Senju were dwarfed completely by the Uchiha in terms of looks. Jiraiya shared this sentiment dearly.

Most Uchiha had a striking attractiveness, a sort of allure in their dark eyes and silky hair. The Hyuga, had a graceful and regal aura instead, imposing and demanding of respect, truly worthy of the title 'Konoha's Royal Family'.

But in Jiraiya's eyes, whether they were sharp and attractive, or graceful and regal, it didn't matter. Once a pervert always a pervert. Only god would know what horrendous things the five-year-old could be thinking of right now, and boy did Akira not want to know.

When said girls noticed his gaze on them, they all collectively shivered and shrank backwards. It was an appropriate reaction. But when his eyes landed on Tsunade, his fate was already decided. Even Akira who had witnessed this scene about a hundred times, felt bad for the boy.

Her sharp eyes landed onto Jiraiya, body pivoting ninety degrees before chaos ensued. But luckily for Jiraiya, the match was about to begin so Tsunade held back, something that happened very rarely.

The onlookers thought that Jiraiya stood no chance against the Senju 'prince'. If his opponent had been another genius clansmen, they might have put up a better fight, but Jiraiya, in their eyes, was just a perverted civilian boy with no significant background and only got into the elite class by luck. This was a great underestimation of the future sannin, though he wouldn't win, he would put up more of a fight than they would have thought.

Nakama glanced at the two before asking, more to Jiraiya than Akira, "Is anyone forfeiting?"

The two shook their heads.

"Alright then. Start!"

Akira wasn't taking any chances this fight, even if his taijutsu was as strong as it was, he couldn't afford to lose face, right? But on the outside, he maintained a relaxed and slightly bored outlook, and only people who knew him very well could tell he was actually alert and focused.

Jiraiya didn't take his stance as an insult, rather, he took it as a challenge. And he graciously accepted this challenge. Noticing Akira wasn't going to make a move anytime, Jiraiya decided to take this opportunity to attack.

But before Jiraiya even started to run at him, Akira could see the muscles around his legs tense up, coiled and ready to run. He was going to try and catch him off guard with a sudden burst of speed, Akira predicted.

So when he seemingly disappeared to some of the weakest kids, most, even the clan kids, were shocked.

So fast!

Was what lots of them thought.

A kick meant to unbalance me.

Akira narrowed his eyes.

But that's a feint.

He stepped to the left, effortlessly dodging the roundhouse kick aimed at his face.

'What, is he jealous of my face? Trying to aim there?' Akira thought dryly, half joking half annoyed.

The crowd gasped, and some girls blushed at this, thinking it was cool. Even though Jiraiya had moved 'quickly', Akira still managed to dodge so effortlessly, lazily, as if he didn't even have half his mind on the fight. But in reality, he was completely focused, and to say he was surprised at Jiraiya's speed was an understatement.

'Truly the future toad sannin,' he thought, impressed.

Even Tsunade, who was still fuming about that lustful gaze Jiraiya gave her... *ahem*, was shocked at his speed.

Jiraiya didn't stop there, with determination evident in his eyes, he threw a flurry of punches and kicks. In a seasoned shinobi's eyes, this was nothing more than just a game, but in the academy student's eyes, it was a show of strength beyond their years. It was in fact, truly beyond their years, but it was to be expected of this boy wasn't it?

But his opponent was Akira, who had taijutsu as his second best technique, after ninjutsu. His skills rivaled even those of some weak chunin.

And while Akira wasn't as strong as elite chunin, if he tried suicidal tactics, he could definitely take down a group of them, even if they knew all his abilities. Actually, if you gave no regard for your life, you could take down shinobi ten times your strength. One example is when Guy nearly took down the world's final boss with one kick.

Now he decided to get serious and end the pointless fight. His eyes sharpened, and his laidback demeanor instantly disappeared. After Jiraiya jumped up for a classic chopping kick, Akira locked onto the spot where he would land.

As soon as the boy landed, Akira was already there, ready to deliver a devastating kick to the guts. Before Jiraiya knew it, he was already crashing across the field while the students made way for him.

A lot of them were silent, not expecting Akira to get serious. Tsunade was cheering and clapping as she shouted, "Go get that pervy boy, Akira!"

Then, he 'disappeared' again before reappearing at Jiraiya's side, letting a clean chop hit his neck, effectively knocking the boy out. It was no lie to say that Akira ended the fight when he got serious, and he was only playing and humoring Jiraiya earlier.

After checking that Jiraiya was knocked out, Nakama declared Akira the winner and lifted him out into the infirmary. When he got back, a group of girls were already surrounding the Senju 'prince', fangirling and blushing like literal tomatoes. The person they surrounded only had an smirk directed to his sister, who was looking as though she was about to murder someone.

'Girls...sigh...but still, to have that much skill in just taijutsu when you're only five is terrifying.' Nakama sighed and thought while sweatdropping.

Akira walked towards Tsunade, who h ad her own fair share of admirers who were too scared of her explosive anger. An triumphant grin spreading on his face, his voice smug, "1-0. Can you keep up, Tsuna?"

The girl crossed her arms defiantly and replied, "I haven't even had my first match yet! Don't act so smug, baka!"

The tension was palpable, and Chiasa had a feeling of dread seeing this rivalry. Trying to ease this by separating the two rivals and twins, he called for the third match to begin. The 'friendly' spars he had planned were sort of like an tournament, and the losers would fight each other to find out the rankings.

Jiraiya was still knocked out, so the fight between him and Uchiha Yudai would have to be postponed, thus the third match began first.

Akira in particular was quite interested in this fight. Orochimaru in the show was never shown to have particularly good combat skills, mostly displaying his extravagant arsenal of forbidden jutsu or kinjutsu. This was one of the reasons why he was so intent on watching this fight.

He was confident in his sister's ability to win in any taijutsu spar, but he wanted to see Orochimaru's level of skill in this aspect. Part of him thought that Orochimaru could also be changed somehow. He wanted to save at least the ones close to him, like his parents, or his unborn little brother Nawaki, but if he changed the plot too drastically, he might cause more deaths instead.

The current Orochimaru was just a somewhat innocent child who lost his parents due to war. It would feel wrong to anyone with a heart if they killed a child, even if that child would grow up to kill more than just a single child.

So Akira decided, if he was going to defect, let him defect. But if he could, Akira would change him. In the midst of all his inner turmoil, the fight had already started before the two.

The fight did not go as anyone expected though.
