As the goblin attendant left, Amelia glanced at Skullbrine, her sharp features tightening. "Skullbrine, what did you mean by two ancient families?" she asked.
The elder goblin tapped a finger on the table, not looking up from the documents. "The Potter line is one of the oldest in the magical world, well-established and respected. And there is Black line. Yes, Young Hire Potter is also in next line of ancient house Black. The Potter account manager will explain."
Before Tony could ask more, the chamber doors opened once again. A shorter, thinner goblin stepped in, holding a set of scrolls under one arm. His robes bore the crest of House Potter. His eyes widened when he saw the three humans, then snapped to Skullbrine with clear anxiety.
"This is Griphook," Skullbrine said coolly. "He has managed the Potter accounts since the boy's parents died."
Tony raised a brow. "Does he look like he's gonna faint, or is that just the lighting in here?"
Griphook came forward quickly and bowed to Skullbrine, avoiding eye contact with Amelia.
"Manager Skullbrine. I was summoned?"
"You were," Skullbrine said darkly. "There are allegations of manipulation regarding the guardianship of Harry James Potter. I have reviewed these documents. Explain yourself, now. If your story is convincing, you will not be beheaded."
Tony did a double-take. "Whoa—okay, wait. Beheading is an option?!" That he didn't see it coming either did Rohedy. Woah, things get real escalating here.
Griphook flinched but stood his ground, jaw clenched. "I did as I was instructed! The magical guardian was designated by a high-level Ministry override—direct order from Chief Warlock Albus Dumbledore. I had no say. The moment the Potters died, the vault sealed under his directive, and a blood-anchored contract activated, placing the child with non-magical relatives."
Amelia's entire face darkened. "Dumbledore?! He's the one who placed Harry with the Muggles? Without informing or asking for Ministry review?!"
Tony looked between them. "Okay, can someone tell me who Gandalf's cousin is and why he's making decisions about my—" he stopped himself, glancing at Skullbrine and Griphook, "—about a kid he's not related to?" He doesn't know if he should trust this guy yet.
Amelia exhaled sharply, turning to Tony. "Albus Dumbledore is—was—the Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He was also Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot, the highest judicial body in magical Britain. He held immense influence." Amelia is gonna make sure the old fool pays for what he has done. Why she said 'Was' instead of 'Is' tells a lot how pissed off she is.
"And he used it to shove a kid into a neglectful house and keep him hidden?" Tony said, scowling. "Why?"
Griphook looked visibly upset now. "He claimed it was for protection. Something about blood magic—an old enchantment tied to the mother's sacrifice. The boy had to live with blood relatives to keep it active."
Skullbrine look like he's about throw the desk at his own Goblin, A fucking blood magic? Doesn't he know what that means?! Oh, Griphook was gonna retake all of those rune classes, Skullbrine mark his words right here and now.
"But that doesn't explain the money," Rhodey said firmly. "We tracked unusual deposits made to the Dursleys. Regular payments."
Amelia grits her teeth. "They were being paid to keep him?"
Griphook shook his head. "Not through the Potter vault. I never authorized any such transactions." He gulped under the sharp gaze of his senior. "I swore! I didn't allowed anyone! Even Dumbledore, In fact, he never once touch a kunt! Or request to withdrawal the money, However, he did request I kept running the business and doing investments of Potter line, Like the shops they own and in Muggle world..."
Skullbrine's fingers curled into the obsidian. "Then someone else is channeling funds—possibly laundering through a lesser account or external magical source." It's definitely Dumbledore without a doubt. One thing was relief to know, The vault wasn't touched by greedy paws.
Tony stepped back, taking it all in. Once he process, he spoke "Let me get this straight: this Dumbledore guy made himself Harry's magical guardian, placed him in the care of people who clearly hate him, locked off his access to his family fortune, and someone's been paying those people under the table." That's pretty much it, right?
Rhodey nodded. "And nobody noticed. Not even the bank." by the looks of it, They did knew about Dumbledore being magical guardian but the rest they don't.
Amelia looked like she was about to set something on fire. "I want to speak to get one of most trusted people—and check the blood contract records."
Skullbrine added coldly, "And we will launch a full investigation into all connected vaults." Who says if Dumbledore didn't touch the vault? Potters has more than one vault and he started to get suspicious of Griphook too.
Goblins are ruthless, If someone cheats them however they are more bloodlust ruthless when magical child or any child is harm, Children are precious little ones in Magical community! For Goblins, Children are treasure.
Tony take a seat trying to process, his fingers drummed sharply against the cold desk as he leaned forward, eyes narrowed. "What if it is Albus Dumbledore? What if he's the one behind all of this? This so-called 'blood protection' clearly isn't working—Harry's been starved, isolated, and treated like a servant."
Skullbrine shake his head. "If those wards are there.. that means they work against the magical beings, Not against the muggles..." Then he paused. "It is possible he put the wards there to push ill intended wizards or anyone...? I don't know"
That makes no sense.
Tony grabbed the thin folder Henry had recovered, flipping it open and shoving it toward the goblin managing the Potter accounts.
"Read it," Tony snapped. "That's what the boy's been living through."
Griphook took it hesitantly, scanning the pages. The further he read, the more his sharp features twisted—first into shock, then guilt, and finally rage.
"I… I had no idea," he whispered. "This is a disgrace. I never meant—this wasn't what I was told. The child was supposed to be protected."
Amelia, arms crossed, stepped closer. "What about the Will? Do Potters have a Will? Did it mention Dumbledore?"
The goblin shook his head firmly. "No. Dumbledore was not named. The Will does exist—but it was never read. His claim over guardianship overrode the process."
"Never read?" Tony repeated, incredulous. "So the last wishes of the kid's dead parents were completely ignored? What if there was possible candidates to take him in?!"
Griphook nodded, shame written across his face.
Tony's voice dropped cold. "I want to see it. Now."
The goblin hesitated—but before he could reply, Skullbrine growled, "He has a right to it."
Griphook looked over, and Skullbrine fixed him with a hard glare. "Stark here is Harry Potter's half-brother. He has blood rights. But those rights must be confirmed through ancient procedure."
Tony arched a brow. "Let me guess—blood test?"
Skullbrine gestured, and the goblin assistant placed a sharp ceremonial dagger and a small parchment marked with silver runes on the desk.
Tony blinked. "Is it weird that this looks like something out of a vampire film?"
Amelia, calm and professional, but amused says "It's a standard magical blood ritual. A single drop will tell us everything—parentage, magical ancestry, and familial links."
Tony's eyes darted between the blade and paper. "Do I at least get a lollipop afterward?"
Rhodey chuckled. "Man up, Tony! You've fought terrorists, built a flying suit in a cave, and you're scared of a paper cut?"
"I'm not scared," Tony said indignantly. "I'm just aware that most things involving knives and magic don't end well in movies."
Still, he extended a hand, rolling his eyes as Griphook offered the blade. With a swift motion, the goblin pricked Tony's finger and let a single drop fall onto the rune-covered parchment.
The runes shimmered to life in gold light, swirling as lines of glowing text appeared. Everyone leaned in.
Name: Anthony Edward Stark
Parentage: Howard Stark (Father), Maria Stark (Mother)
Magical Heritage: Dormant Lineage - Stark (Old House - Outcast)
Blood Relation Detected: Half-Sibling - Harry James Potter (Shared Paternal Line)
Silence filled the room for a beat.
Amelia breathed, "Merlin's beard…" Stark Old House. She never heard of Stark line before. Is it possible they could be ancient and underground?
Still, Stark here is part of magic community but he isn't a wizard. Skip a generation by the looks of it.
Rhodey let out a low whistle. "Well, that settles that."
Tony pulled his hand back, inspecting the parchment. "Guess I'm officially part wizard now. Should I get a wand? Maybe a hat?" Old house, outcast. That's something Tony needs to look into.
Skullbrine's face grew grim. "This blood confirmation grants you access to restricted documents, including the Will of James and Lily Potter."
Griphook bowed his head. "I will retrieve it at once. And again, Mr. Stark… I apologize."
Tony just gave him a tight nod. "Apologies can come later. Right now, let's see what Harry's parents actually wanted."
Amelia added, steely-eyed, "And when we do—we're bringing the full weight of the law down on Albus Dumbledore." And the questions why he kept Harry there with abusers.
