Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

Skullbrine placed the scroll of parchment on the desk, its seal intact. The goblin's long fingers brushed over it reverently. "This is the last will and testament of James and Lily Potter," he said grimly.

Tony curiously asked "So… this is real? Like legally binding real?"

Amelia gave him a firm nod. "In the magical world, wills of ancient houses are magically enforced. They cannot be tampered with—not without consequences."

The Potter account manager sliced open the seal with a single stroke. A shimmer of magic unfolded the parchment on its own. The room was silent as the contents became visible in glowing ink.

James Potter's voice echoed, strong and slightly mischievous:

"If you're hearing this, then Lily and I didn't make it. And if that's the case—bloody hell—I hope whoever's reading this is treating our son with the love he deserves."

Lily's voice joined in, softer but firm:

"We wanted Harry to be raised in a safe, loving home. Our first choice is Sirius Black, his godfather. If for any reason Sirius cannot take Harry, our next choice is Remus Lupin. Others are Alice Longbottom, she is Harry's godmother, If neither are available…"

James's voice cut back in:

"Under no circumstance should Harry ever be left with Lily's sister, Petunia Dursley. She has made her feelings about magic very clear. If this will is ignored—someone has a lot to answer for."

"Another thing... I am sure revelation of Harry's birth will be revealed on his 17th Birthday... If... None are available... Please get in contact with Howard Anthony Walter Stark. He is Harry's step father. He will keep Harry safe... That is all"

"James Potter and Lily Potter mischief managed"

"Mischief managed? Really, James?"

"Oh come on lils! It's perfect ending-"

The room fell into silence again, the magic fading from the parchment.

Tony blinked, stunned. "Well, that's… not what's happening. At all." And Howard was added to the will.

Amelia's face was pale with fury. "Dumbledore never filed this will with the Ministry. He must have bypassed it entirely."

The goblin account manager looked both ashamed and angry. "The will was submitted to the bank, but Albus Dumbledore—acting as Harry Potter's magical guardian—claimed the right to override it."

Tony stood up. "He ignored the parents' wishes, left Harry with abusive people, and blocked contact from friends?" He remembers Harry mentioning he hasn't gotten any replays from his friends, Is it possible? He done something?

Skullbrine nodded. "Dumbledore blocked access to the vaults tied to Harry's upbringing. Only essentials were authorized to be withdrawn."

Rhodey crossed his arms. "So he had full control… and misused it."

Amelia nodded slowly. "This changes everything. With the blood test confirming your relation, Mr. Stark, and with this will, we have enough to challenge Dumbledore's guardianship and investigate his actions."

Tony stared at the parchment again. He felt a strange tightness in his chest. This wasn't just about protecting a kid anymore. This was family.

"We get him out," Rohedy said. "We fix this."

Amelia's eyes burned with determination. "Agreed. The boy who lived deserves better."

Tony stared at the parchment, then turned toward Amelia. "Okay… hold up. Who's this Sirius Black guy they mentioned?"

Amelia folded her arms, her voice tight. "Sirius Black was James Potter's best friend. He was named Harry's godfather. After the Potters were murdered, he was accused of betraying them to Voldemort and killing Peter Pettigrew along with a group of Muggles."

Tony blinked. "Yikes. So, what—you're telling me Harry's godfather was a mass murderer?" Wow, it runs in the family.

Amelia hesitated.

Skullbrine let out a low growl. "If I may, Madam Bones. The will included a magical designation—Godfather Oath. In wizarding law, a magical godparent takes an unbreakable magical vow upon assuming the role."

The other goblin added, "If Sirius Black had betrayed the Potters, the oath would have killed him instantly. Painfully."

A heavy silence followed.

Amelia's eyes widened, the color draining from her face. "Then… he couldn't have been the Secret Keeper. He couldn't have betrayed them."

Skullbrine nodded. "Correct. Sirius Black is innocent."

Tony blinked again. "Wait. You're telling me you've had a magical system where people explode if they break a promise—and yet this guy got thrown in wizard jail without a trial?"

Rhodey's jaw clenched. "Seriously? Your justice system is that busted?"

The goblins didn't disagree.

Amelia sank slowly into the chair. "They… they said there was no trial. I always found that suspicious. But this—this is proof. Real proof. Merlin's beard, we've locked up an innocent man for over a decade."

Tony gave a humorless chuckle. "Well, guess magic and science have one thing in common—systems fail when people in charge cut corners."

Rhodey crossed his arms. "And kids suffer for it."

Tony exhaled, glancing back at the will. "We fix this. For Harry… and this Sirius guy."

Skullbrine nodded grimly. "Then we begin proceedings immediately. But beware—challenging Dumbledore will make you enemies."

Tony gave a half-smirk. "Good. I'm used to that."

After the emotionally heavy discussion and revelations, Skullbrine handed over the official copy of the will for Tony to keep. Tony stared at the seal for a moment before slipping it into the inner pocket of his jacket, then turned to Skullbrine.

"Alright, I want to open a vault. An account. Something secure."

Skullbrine raised a brow. "You wish to open a vault at Gringotts, Mr. Stark?"

Tony shrugged. "Well, I've never trusted banks back home anyway. And your security… let's just say armored goblins beat security cameras."

The goblins looked mildly pleased at the compliment.

"How do I set it up?"

Skullbrine motioned to an assistant goblin who quickly brought over a scroll and a thin silver dagger.

"You will need to provide a blood signature. Your identity will be magically linked to the vault and verified every time you access it. If you wish to grant access to others, we will need their magical or blood signatures as well."

Tony raised a brow. "Sounds like biometric access. I like it."

He signed the scroll, gave a tiny blood prick (though he made a dramatic "Ow" just to mess with Rhodey), and the vault was registered. Skullbrine confirmed that a vault would be prepared for him under his name—Anthony Edward Stark—and tied to his magical lineage.

After that, the group headed back out of Gringotts, Amelia leading them as they stepped again into the bustling Diagon Alley.

Rhodey ran a hand down his face. "Man, this is gonna be a lot of paperwork."

Tony snorted. "Yeah, well, welcome to the magic world. Bet you didn't think child protective services was gonna go magical."

"I was in the Air Force, Tony. I've seen crazy. This is just… a different brand."

Tony glanced to Amelia. "Speaking of brands—while we're digging through all this, I saw in the will something about Sirius and another name—Remus Lupin. Who's that guy?"

Amelia nodded, keeping her pace. "Remus Lupin was another one of James Potter's closest friends, like Sirius. The four of them—James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter Pettigrew—were inseparable at Hogwarts."

She sighed, her expression softening. "Remus is… kind. Brilliant. Thoughtful. But he's also a werewolf."

Tony paused. "Come again?"

Amelia nodded solemnly. "Bitten as a child. It was a tragedy. But James and Sirius never abandoned him. They made it their mission to help him feel normal. He's one of the few werewolves who lives quietly, peacefully, and with control. I only find out because James told me... He isn't here in this country"

Rhodey frowned. "Was he kicked out?"

"Pressured," Amelia said. "Prejudice. He left to avoid stirring more trouble. But Remus always cared about Harry. Deeply."

Tony rubbed the back of his neck, his mind already strategizing. "Then maybe it's time to bring both of these guys back into Harry's life. If we can prove Sirius is innocent… then maybe Harry can finally have real family."

Amelia looked toward him. "You're already his family, Mr. Stark."

Tony didn't answer immediately. Then he gave a small smile. "Yeah. Still wrapping my head around that."
