Isla Nublar, Jurassic World

International Genetic Technologies (InGen), Dinosaur Gene Research Center

Inside the incubator, two large, oblong dinosaur eggs sat quietly.

Their smooth, ivory-like shells gleamed under the soft lighting.

Dr. Henry Wu stood with his research team, eyes fixed on the incubator.

There was tension and anticipation in the air, not because these were ordinary dinosaur eggs.

Far from it.

These were the first-generation hybrids developed by the lab.

Built on the genetic framework of the Tyrannosaurus Rex, they also included DNA from over ten other species.

The result: a terrifying new creature named Indominus Rex.

"Click... click…"

The eggs began to tremble. Cracks formed across their surfaces until finally, with a series of small shudders, two hatchlings broke free—one male, one female.

"Where... is this?"

Jack had just forced his way out of the cramped, suffocating shell, only to find himself in a much larger, but still enclosed, space.

Through the transparent glass in front of him, he saw a group of people in lab coats.

Then he caught his reflection—and froze.

"I'm... not human anymore?"

He stared in shock. A lizard-like head.

Red, vertical pupils. Sharp teeth and claws. A stiff tail.

His skin was covered in rough, gray-white scales with dark spines running down his back, and a ring of bristly fuzz around his neck.

He was barely 50 centimeters long.

He was a baby dinosaur.

Am I a Velociraptor? A Tyrannosaurus?

Before he could figure it out, a glowing blue panel appeared in front of his eyes:

[Name]: Jack

[Age]: 1 day

[Species]: Indominus Rex (Male)

[Lifeform Tier]: Exotic

[Size]: 0.5 meters, 5 kilograms

[Integrated Genes]: Tyrannosaurus Rex, Velociraptor, Therizinosaurus, Giganotosaurus, squid, tree frog, viper, and over ten more species. (Click to view details.)

[Gene Points]: 0

A 3D virtual model of his current body hovered alongside the panel, showing that modifications could be made at any time.

Jack blinked in disbelief.

Isn't this just like that old game I used to play—Gene Fusion Simulator?

Then it hit him.

Indominus Rex… Wait, that name's from Jurassic World!

Realization dawned.

I've been isekai'd. I'm inside the Jurassic World movie... as a baby Indominus Rex?!

The full weight of the situation sank in.

In the movie, the park created two Indominus Rex hatchlings—one male and one female.

But later, the female killed her brother.

That meant he was the doomed brother!

What kind of cursed start is this?!

Still, there was a glimmer of hope. As a transmigrator, he had a "golden finger"—the exact same system from the game.

It allowed him to hunt other creatures, integrate their genes, and evolve by gaining new abilities.

And this was especially useful for a creature like Indominus Rex, whose very body was made from a mix of different species.

At the moment, he already had more than ten gene types integrated.

He focused, and the panel updated to show his current abilities:

[Tyrannosaurus Rex Gene]: Bite Strength Lv1 (0/10); Power Lv1 (0/10)

[Velociraptor Gene]: Running Speed Lv1 (0/10)

[Therizinosaurus Gene]: Scythe Claws Lv1 (0/10)

[Giganotosaurus Gene]: Sawtooth Bite Lv1 (0/10)

[Squid Gene]: Camouflage Lv1 (0/10); Rapid Growth Lv1 (0/10)

[Tree Frog Gene]: Infrared Stealth Lv1 (0/10)

[Viper Gene]: Heat Sensing Lv1 (0/10)

There were a total of seven distinct genes currently active in his body.

The remaining integrated genes likely contributed too little to matter individually and were therefore ignored by the system.

Still, these seven genes granted him a wide range of powerful and complex traits.

From the Tyrannosaurus Rex, he inherited terrifying bite force, immense physical strength, and the potential for a massive adult body.

The Velociraptor gave him speed and agility.

The Therizinosaurus added slender forelimbs and enormous, scythe-like claws.

The Giganotosaurus brought serrated, saw-like teeth built for tearing through flesh.

From the squid, he gained the ability to alter his skin color for camouflage, along with a trait even more valuable: rapid growth.

The tree frog provided a unique form of stealth—by regulating his body's infrared output, he could become nearly invisible to heat-based sensors.

And finally, the viper granted him thermal sensing, allowing him to detect living creatures through their body heat.

Each of these genes could be strengthened by investing gene points.

Just like in the game, gene points were earned by hunting and consuming prey.

Which meant Jack's most important goal now was simple:

Survive—and grow stronger.

He had to be careful. Not only was there another, far more dangerous female Indominus Rex in the same enclosure, but he also needed to think ahead.

Should I stay in Jurassic World, where there's food and protection? Or escape and forge my own path?

From what he remembered of the movies, Jurassic World was doomed.

The chaos caused by the Indominus would eventually lead to the park's closure.

Then, Isla Nublar itself would be destroyed by a volcanic eruption.

Clearly, the smarter choice was to escape when the time came.

As Jack contemplated his next steps, the incubator door hissed open.

Dr. Henry Wu stepped in, smiling as he held out two slabs of fresh beef—one for each hatchling.

To him, the Indominus Rex was more than a scientific achievement.

It was his masterpiece—a project funded with over $260 million by InGen.

Now that it was finally born, it would bring in massive profits for the park.

"Roar!"

But just as he offered the beef to the female hatchling, she lunged forward without warning, jaws snapping wide.

Her mouth, lined with shark-like serrated teeth, clamped down on his hand.

Blood sprayed across the lab. One of his fingers was nearly torn off.

Everyone froze.

Jack, too, felt a chill run through him.

She's brutal… completely feral.

Even as a newborn, the female Indominus radiated savage violence.

But Dr. Wu only smiled, his expression calm despite the bleeding.

"That's exactly what I want."

Because his real goal was never just to entertain tourists.

Behind the scenes, he had struck a secret deal with a private mercenary group—he was working to develop bio-engineered dinosaurs for military applications.

And what better candidate than a living weapon like the Indominus Rex?

In contrast, when he turned to feed Jack, the male hatchling simply took the beef, tore off a chunk, and ate calmly.

Not bad. Tender, juicy, and just the right texture.

Though it was his first time tasting raw meat, Jack's new instincts and taste buds welcomed it.

[You ate beef. Gene points +0.2]

A familiar notification echoed in his mind. Jack kept eating until he was full.

By the end of the meal, he had earned a total of 1 gene point.

"Add point!"

Without hesitation, Jack assigned the gene point to [Rapid Growth]—a squid gene ability.

This wasn't just a random choice.

Among all the genetic traits he had, rapid growth was the most urgently needed.

In nature, squids had incredibly short life spans but grew at astonishing rates.

Giant squids, for instance, could grow from hatchling to full size in just 50 days.

And that was exactly what Jack needed now: to grow up fast.

Strength meant survival. Size meant power.

The faster he matured, the better his chances of surviving—especially with a monstrous sister lurking nearby.
