After the "Cafeteria Coup," Jin-woo was convinced he was destined for culinary greatness. Sure, the fire incident was a minor setback, but in his mind, it was just "adding flair" to the dining experience.
One afternoon, as Yuna was buried in her textbooks, Jin-woo burst into the room brandishing a crumpled notebook.
"Behold! Chef Jin's Dorm Cookbook!" he announced, tossing it dramatically onto her desk.
Yuna raised an eyebrow. "What's that?"
"Only the greatest collection of recipes the dorm has ever seen. From 'Midnight Ramen Remix' to 'Mystery Sandwich Surprise.'"
Yuna flipped through the pages, noting the scribbles, doodles, and a recipe called "Instant Noodles à la Jin (which may or may not explode)."
Determined to prove his chef skills, Jin-woo decided to host a dorm-wide tasting party. Flyers were posted everywhere:
"Come taste the future of dorm cuisine! Free food, questionable safety guarantees!"
Yuna sighed but agreed to help. "I'll be your sous chef, but I'm not cleaning up any fires this time."
The day of the party arrived, and the dorm lounge was transformed into a chaotic food lab. Jin-woo wore a chef's hat that was slightly too big, and Yuna sported an apron that said "Fire Extinguisher."
First up: "Midnight Ramen Remix."
Jin-woo proudly boiled noodles with an unusual addition — a splash of cola.
"Trust me, the carbonation adds zing," he declared.
Yuna tried a bite, her face a mix of confusion and horror.
"Zing? It tastes like soda exploded in a bowl."
Jin-woo grinned. "It's an acquired taste."
Next, the "Mystery Sandwich Surprise" was unveiled.
Ingredients included: leftover kimchi, peanut butter, and a mysterious packet of seaweed snacks.
One brave freshman took a bite and immediately reached for water.
"Good? Bad?" Jin-woo asked eagerly.
The freshman nodded slowly, eyes watering. "Definitely... surprising."
Meanwhile, Yuna managed to salvage the party by whipping up her famous kimbap, which quickly became the star of the show.
Students lined up, happily munching and chatting, while Jin-woo continued experimenting with "creative" recipes.
Halfway through, a sudden alarm blared.
"Fire drill," Yuna announced.
Jin-woo panicked. "Was it me? Did I set off the smoke detector again?"
They evacuated with the other students, Jin-woo holding his notebook protectively.
Outside, the RA gave Jin-woo a knowing look.
"Try not to burn down the dorm next time."
Jin-woo saluted. "No promises!"
Back inside, Yuna leaned in.
"You know, maybe stick to ramen without soda next time."
Jin-woo grinned. "Where's the fun in that?"
