"Yes, Marshall," The shadowy figure spoke, " We found Shyam in the village Karn spoke of. He didn't use Chàkrà, which further clarifies his identity."
" And still the informants lost their lives ?" The bald man asked with furrowed brows.
" Yes, Marshall."
" How the hell are these KEEPERS so damn strong?" The officer fumed with anger. " Now I understand why the Kingdom hunts them down as fast as it can. Their opposition to the government will be disastrous if we let them grow."
"But that is not the problem I spoke of, Marshall." The shadowy figure interrupted his monologue.
"Hmm, then what is it?" The bald man frowned.
" We couldn't find his son. And I sensed a Voidheart in the village."
" A Voidheart with a keeper ? How is this possible ?" The officer mused. " Are you sure you sensed a Voidheart?"
" The presence I felt was not completely of a Voidheart, but I am sure that the soul is not completely human. I think it was an unawakened Voidheart." The shadow figure explained himself.
" He couldn't even awaken himself! What a weakling!" The bald officer said with a scoff. " Anyways we need to capture him and bring him to his rightful place."
" Marut," He ordered the shadowy figure, " Inform the border posts. And also survey the village again."
" As you command, City Magistrate." The shadowy man disappeared with a gust of wind.
******
Two figures were walking on a concrete road leading to a border military post.
"Remember, they will interrogate you and run a medical checkup to issue an identity card." The shorter figure spoke. " So act calm and collected."
"Okay, I'll do as you say." The taller figure answered in a flat tone.
After half an hour of walking, Sharv and Kant had reached the border. Sharv had put on his cotton shirt while Kant was looking refreshed.
A magnificent gate, with a height of over fifty meters, welcomed him. It was golden in color with a Purple peacock painted on it. The peacock had seven colored trains ( tail feathers).
In the left corner of the gate, a small human sized door was open for travellers. Sharv and Kant also entered it.
Some military personnel, wearing golden uniforms with red embroidery, took them into custody. All of them had badge on their chests, of copper red color with a Purple peacock insignia.
' Seems just as Kant said.' Sharv thought. But still he was evaluating the personnel present there, in case something happened.
Kant gave them his Identity Card and working certificate, which was enough for his entry, but Sharv didn't have any of that.
" Where is your home, boy?" An older military officer asked him, sitting behind the Inquiry Counter meant for entry permits. He had two badges.
" I live in the Dandak forest, in a village."
" Oh, so is this your first time going out of the forest?"
" Yes."
" What is your purpose in entering our kingdom?" Now the officer had a frown, creating small peaks in his connected eyebrows. He was scanning Sharv with intense eyes.
" Exploration." Sharv answered. The officer was not pleased by his one word answers, so he threw his own one word, " EXPLAIN."
" I am now on a tour of the world, as it was the last wish of my Father." Sharv spoke in a flat tone.
" Shelly and Aarav, run a medical checkup of him and note the power level." The old officer ordered.
" Yes, Colonel."
A female, with blonde hair, led Sharv to another room. It was filled with both big and small machines. Between different instruments, a ten feet tall, round blue machine, with a transparent glass in front, stood out the most.
" Please, enter the blue machine." She guided Sharv.
Sharv followed the instructions, after putting down his weapon and spatial pouch.
" Insert your finger in the black hole in front. We need a blood sample, for a proper identity. And look straight into the camera in front of you."
Sharv felt a needle sting in his finger after, few seconds after he followed the command. His face was still emotionless, but the ember of his eyes showed his intensity.
" You have a rare blood type." Shelly said looking at his report, the machine was producing.
But suddenly the machine started beeping and a siren went off in the whole military encampment.
" Your heartbeat…. the machine can't pick it up," Shelly spoke with fear visible on her face. Aarav, the power measuring man, entered the medical room with his blade out. He also had fear written all over his face. Sharv didn't show any emergency. He was still looking towards Shelly with a calm expression.
" Are you a… Vo-vo-voidheart?" Shelly questioned, stuttering with fear.
' I can't stay emotionless,' Sharv thought.
" Lady, Do I look like one?" He spoke with a charming smile.
' He smiles!' Both Shelly and Aarav thought and looked at each other.
Other army personnels, along with the old man, had also reached the room.
' He was unusually calm but did I really travel with a Viodheart?' Kant, who was standing outside, was questioning himself. Surprise was written all over his face as he could not believe a Voidheart would help him.
" Just bring a physical heartbeat tester. This machine can't measure it because it's too slow." Sharva spoke.
Shelly looked towards the old man in charge, who approved with a nod. She brought an old fashioned BP tester, while Sharv came out of the machine. He was still encircled by other personnels. Shelly fixed the tester on Sharv's right arm with Shaking hands.
" Thank God." Aarav spoke, seeing a number appear on the screen. " But why is it as low as twenty?"
" It is because of a breathing technique which I am practising. Even my breathing is one per minute because of it." Sharv explained. ' It is good that I am creating a new technique. I didn't have to lie.' he thought to himself.
" Boy, Never again play with the Knight Corps." The old man warned him, then asked, " What is your power level?"
" Power level. How do you measure power?" Sharv said with a confused look.
" I thought so." Old officer said. 'He is really a forest dweller,' was the only thought of everyone present there.
" What is your highest level of mastery of Chakra?" The colonel asked again.
" Fifth level." Sharv spoke.
' It is high.' Colonel thought. " How many Chakra have you awakened?"
' Can't speak the truth' Sharv thought and questioned with a frown, " Just the starting ones".
" So is it one or two ?" Colonel asked with an angry face.
" Two, but not completely." Sharv answered.
" Okay, wait outside. We will hand you your ID." The colonel ordered.
" Why didn't you check his power level by yourself, Colonel?" Aarav asked after Sharv moved outside.
" Do you want to risk your life just to check the power level of a Voidheart?" The colonel questioned back, surprising all the personnel present there. "I think I know who he is. And he is not someone for us to handle." He added.
" Issue an ID with Commander level power. I am going to talk to the City Magistrate." Colonel left the room after ordering Shelly and Aarav.
"A commander level ID card for a Knight level assessment." Aarav mused.
"He really is a Voidheart." Shelly said in shaking voice while creating the ID.
After a few minutes, Shelly went to hand over the ID.
" Where are you headed to?" She asked.
" Towards the next city." Sharv answered, looking at the black ID card with golden fonts.
"Okay." Sharv and Kant headed out of the military camp as Shelly went back to the Colonel's office.
The Colonel was already on call with the City Magistrate as a hologram of a bald headed man was glowing faintly above his desk. A circular golden device was at the base of the hologram, likely facilitating the call and hologram.
" Marshall Durjay, he revealed his power to be that of a Knight level. So we assess him as a Commander level threat." The Colonel spoke. "We did not try to capture him and he is headed towards the next city." He added, looking at Aarav who was also present there.
"As a commander yourself, you did good by not engaging him." City Magistrate Durjay spoke. " I'll send two commanders with their units. That will be enough." After this, the call was cut from the opposite side.
" So we did witness a Voidheart." Aarav said. " But why is a Voidheart so weak?"
" Forget that this ever happened. And keep your lips sealed." The colonel spoke in a serious tone. " Relay this message to everyone who was present in that room."
