Her delicate fingers brushed against the bite mark on his neck then. Aside from the bite she had given him, there were several rows of deep and shallow teeth marks.
It seemed that last night had been even wilder than she had thought.
Contentedly, she traced her fingers over those marks, gradually moving her fingertips to his slightly reddened lips.
Suddenly, the strength around her waist tightened, and Jonathon opened his eyes.
"Taking advantage of me again?"
She shuddered, quickly regaining her composure and trailing her hand over those lips.
"Mhm. It's your fault for being too seductive, Mr. Hudson."
Just as she spoke, Jonathon flipped over, pinning her beneath him. He asked in a tone akin to a hungry wolf, "What's the point of just looking?"
Mollie's face instantly turned red, and she instinctively pushed him away.
"Stop fooling around. It's already morning; you should leave. What if someone sees you?"
"Am I so embarrassing you can't show me to people?" Jonathon's expression soured slightly. Mollie shook her head.
"It's just that we're not married yet, l'm afraid this won't do your reputation any good if word got out...
Jonathon's expression softened at those words. Soon, he put on his suit and made a move to leave.
Just before leaving, he tentatively asked, "Mollie, would you like to come to my mother's birthday? It's the day after tomorrow."
Mollie understood why Jonathon was carefully asking her this.
In the past life, she had tried every trick to get away from Jonathon, and she had intentionally made an enemy out of his mother as well.
They were notorious for not getting along well. Mollie had even set fire to the Hudsons' garden once. It was possible she might disrupt Jonathon's mother's birthday party this time too.
Even so, Jonathon still held on to hope as he asked Mollie if she wanted to come.
Mollie's throat tightened, and she smiled at Jonathon.
"Alright, I'll go and personally give my blessings to my mother-in-law. Jonathan was pleasantly surprised when he heard Mollie call his mother "mother-in-law."
Before he left, He hugged Mollie and gave her a passionate kiss. By the time Mollie finished her morning routine and went down the stairs, it was already past 8 a.m.
Mollie found Stefanie and Louise sitting on the sofa, sipping morning tea in a pretentious manner. Confronted by their unfriendly gazes, Mollie knew she wouldn't be able to enjoy her breakfast in peace.
As expected, Louise, in her shrill and loud voice, instructed the housemaid to serve Mollie her breakfast.
Her tone was akin to instructing a servant not to forget to feed the pigs. Even worse, Stefanie chimed in sarcastically, "Mom, I don't think Mollie can handle high-end Western cuisine. Maybe we should ask for some bread rolls for her."
"You're so clever and thoughtful."
Louise's cheeks bulged as she grinned and immediately passed on the instruction to Susan Waters.
They prepared not just bread rolls, but also pickles.
They probably felt emboldened because Theo wasn't around.
Mollie couldn't be bothered to argue with them and waved her hand dismissively.
"No need, I saw something disgusting early in the morning. I'm already full."
Knowing what she meant, Stefanie roared, "Who are you calling disgusting?!"
"Huh? Did I say that it's a person?" Mollie covered her mouth deliberately.
"Right, you're not 'things.' How could I call you 'something?' I apologise if my choice of words was inappropriate."
"Mollie!"
Louise slammed the table and stood up, looking down at her.
"Don't think that having Jonathon as a backer means you're above everyone! He could drop you in a heartbeat!" Stefanie chimed in from the side.
"Women are like clothes. Do you really think someone as esteemed as Jonathon would be interested in a country bumpkin like you? You are uneducated, and all you do is daydream!"
Stefanie must have remembered that Mollie hadn't even graduated from high school, so she took the opportunity and taunted Mollie a bit.
Just as Mollie was about to retort, Theo came downstairs with a frosty expression.
"I've been hearing your commotion since early morning. Can't you give it a rest?"
He then looked at Mollie and informed her that he had arranged for her to enrol in a school before instructing her to go for registration in a few days.
Mollie's mind raced when she heard the name of the university.
Theo had arranged for her to attend a university with exorbitant fees and no reputation to speak of.
It was clearly a few times worse than the prestigious university Stefanie attended.
"I'm not going. I want to go to Meadows University."
"Are you out of your mind?" Stefanie Hays exclaimed.
Everyone knew that even she couldn't get into Meadows University, let alone Mollie who hadn't even finished high school.
Unless Mollie had a recommendation letter from a top-tier university, Mollie's idea was nothing short of a pipe dream as she couldn't even meet the entry requirements of a top-tier university.
"I'm not crazy. I have a recommendation letter."
When Mollie mentioned that she had a recommendation letter, everyone present showed expressions of disbelief.
Stefanie immediately accused her of bragging, while Louise sarcastically remarked that recommendation letters weren't like tabloid magazines which were easily attainable.
Even Theo, not believing her, advised her to be more practical.
"Don't set your sights too high. Instead of these unrealistic ideas, think about how you can benefit from Jonathon Hudson to help the Hays family."
"Sure, how about giving me a million dollars first?" With her hands propping up her chin, Mollie innocently looked at Theo.
"You think you deserve clothes worth a million dollars?" Stefanie chimed in.
Mollie didn't comment, but Theo sternly refused, admonishing her against extravagance.
"If you knew that I just want to spend a million dollars on a dress to attend Mrs. Hudson's birthday party tomorrow, you wouldn't think I'm extravagant."
"Mrs. Hudson's birthday?"
At these words, Theo's expression changed swiftly.
"Mollie is right. We musn't take Mrs. Hudson's birthday lightly. I'll transfer the money to you immediately!
"However, you must discuss the recent projects with Jonathon, got it?"
Humans truly were creatures driven by self-interest.
Looking at her smiling father, Mollie felt a sense of discomfort like she was eating expired dark chocolate. Louise smiled sheepishly too.
"Since that's the case, Mollie, why not bring Stefanie along too? You could keep each other company."
People attending Mrs. Hudson's birthday party were undoubtedly prominent figures. If Stefanie attended, she might learn something valuable.
Theo naturally thought of this as well.
"Yes, bring your younger sister along."
"Sure." Surprisingly, Mollie didn't reject them.
In her previous life, after being driven out of her home, Mollie ended up protected and held captive by Jonathon. She ended up not attending his mother's birthday party.
On the other hand, Stefanie not only attended the party but became known as the talented pianist from Norbury.
