From then on, the two sisters became the subject of public discussion.
Stefanie would be praised, while Mollie was belittled.
In this life, Mollie was determined to reclaim her reputation.
After Louise volunteered, Theo transferred a million dollars to her account and asked her to buy dresses for both daughters.
In the evening, she personally handed over a fishtail gown to Mollie and instructed her to
cherish it.
While Mollie accepted the dress, she also inwardly snorted. Did they think she had lived in the countryside so long that she wouldn't recognise a high-quality knockoff?
"I don't like this one. Stefanie's is better."
Although Stefanie's bag seemed much simpler, the colour and texture of the dress that peeked out indicated it was at least not a cheap imitation.
Coupled with Stefanie's fiercely protective stance, Mollie couldn't resist teasing them.
"It's already good enough that my mom bought a dress for you. Don't be so picky. Don't even think about my dress. You and your outdated countryside style are unworthy of it."
Stefanie seemed to have given up even pretending.
"Wear it or not, the dress is for you. Just don't complain to your father that I'm biased," Louis pettily added.
Observing the unsympathetic mother and daughter in front of her, Mollie shook her head.
A playful smile flashed in her eyes.
"Seems like you're not willing to exchange dresses with me."
They shouldn't blame her for not giving them a chance after this. As Stefanie purposely flaunted her dress in front of Mollie, Mollie discreetly sprayed a drug called "Girl Skin Powder" on it.
The idea of exchanging their dresses was also a test of how selfless they were. In the end, they did not appreciate her effort.
Mollie waved her hand. As she imagined the dress turning into a nude colour when exposed to water, she helplessly shrugged.
Mollie returned to her room with a calm mood, and just as she was locking the door, she unexpectedly fell into a wide embrace.
"Mm!" Meeting those inky black eyes,Mollie pouted and said, "Why do you always appear out of nowhere?" Jonathon didn't reply to her.
Instead, he pressed her into his arms and asked with a slightly aggrieved tone, "Your brother's men have left, so why haven't you moved to my place?"
Mollie quietly thought of a reply.
Then, she playfully teased, "Isn't it thrilling to have secret rendezvous, Mr. Hudson?"
"Hmm?" Jonathon frowned inquisitively and squinted.
"We can rendezvous at my place as well."
Sure enough, he was always one step ahead of her.
Mollie almost burst out laughing, "And what about Josh?"
"It doesn't matter. I can beat him."
"Hahaha!"
Mollie was almost crying from laughter as she nestled in Jonathon's arms. How could there be such an adorable man in the world?
The atmosphere grew warmer, and Jonathon couldn't resist pinching Mollie's cheek.
"You're so unaware at home. You didn't even send me a message after an entire day."
Mollie pretended to be pitiful and complained, "I wasn't in a good mood today. My dad gave Louise a million dollars to buy dresses, but Louise got her own daughter a designer piece while she bought me a knockoff."
She deployed her entire life's worth of acting skills and acted like she was innocently pouring her grievances out to Jonathon.
Jonathon disdainfully huffed, a hint of inscrutable emotion flashing in his eyes.
"It's alright. I have something better."
Saying that, he magically produced a blue gift box from behind and handed it to Mollie.
To her surprise, it contained a dress shimmering with fragments of light.
"Try it on."
Mollie nodded, holding the dress as she walked towards the fitting room. However, Jonathon said that using the fitting room was too troublesome.
"Hmm?" Mollie turned back with a puzzled expression.
"Just change right here. After all, I've seen every part of your body," Jonathon spoke nonchalantly as he leaned back on the sofa.
Fine, then. Mollie wasn't embarrassed either. She shed her clothes, revealing a large expanse of her fair back. The smooth and tender skin emitted a shimmering light under the lamp, and her slender waist twisted like a
moving snake, captivating Jonathon's eyes.
Jonathon lost himself in the view, the warmth of his body heating up with each prolonged glance.
"Could you zip it up for me?"
Her slender wrist brushed against the metallic chain, tugging at Jonathon's heartstrings as it moved upward.
As Mollie turned her head, she met Jonathon's entranced gaze.
"Mesmerised, aren't we, Mr. Hudson?"
Jonathon didn't provide a clear answer. He pulled Mollie's waist towards him.
"I really want to hide you away."
If he didn't, he couldn't guarantee he wouldn't gouge out the eyes of any other man who dared to look at her.
Mollie smiled lightly and responded to Jonathon, "No need to do that; I'll only let you see. However, you have to promise me that you can only look at me, alright?"
Jonathon nodded. After which, he scooped her up horizontally and declared in a tone that had no room for rejection, "You're coming to my place today."
Mollie instinctively wanted to jump down from his arms. Her birth father and stepmother were at home. If they found out Jonathon climbed in through the window, no one knew what kind of trouble it could cause.
"Don't move."
Jonathon wound Mollie's arms around his neck and held onto her slender waist tightly as he slid down through the drainpipe.
The momentary feeling of weightlessness caused Mollie to cling tightly to Jonathon.
Fortunately, the sliding was brief, and the man's embrace brought her comfort.
"Scared?"
Mollie shook her head and whispered in Jonathon's ear, "It feels like we are eloping. It's thrilling.
"Mischievous little vixen, you."
Initially, Jonathon was worried that his behaviour might come across as rude to Mollie and could tarnish the positive image he had painstakingly built for Mollie to see.
Unexpectedly, Mollie didn't mind at all and seemed to be in good spirits.
This greatly pleased Jonathon.
"Let's go to my place!"
Just as those words left his mouth, his secretary, Shadow, drove the Lamborghini over.
