...

Early in the morning, Alaric Yun saw the faint specks of blood on the bed. He felt quite pleased.

His gaze shifted. The morning light streamed into the room, casting a soft glow on Pearl Su's fair and luminous skin. His well-shaped hand reached out and gently stroked her body.

Suddenly, he spoke in a low voice, "Wife, you're awake."

Pearl Su slowly opened her eyes, glanced at him coldly, then closed them again, feeling irritated.

Yesterday, she had been too weak to resist. He did whatever he wanted with her. Now, her body ached all over, and she was still too weak to move.

When would this weakness end? Pearl Su let out a small sigh.

Alaric Yun's hand didn't stop moving. It glided over her waist, arms, shoulders, neck, and finally her cheek.

He caressed her soft, white face and said, "Your body is beautiful. I really like it."

Hearing that, Pearl Su felt like coughing up blood. If she could move, she'd slap him twice right now.

"You seem angry. I guess I didn't work hard enough last night to satisfy you," he said softly.

"In that case, let me try again this morning to make it up to you…"

As he spoke, he kissed her lips. They were soft and sweet, making him very satisfied. He began deepening the kiss, heading toward the entrance, but found it firmly shut.

Suddenly, the door opened wide, letting him in, then slammed shut and bit him hard.

He let out a low, painful grunt and immediately backed off. Pearl Su smiled inside, pleased.

She wasn't going to be as foolish as last night. That had been her first kiss. She had no experience and just let him do as he pleased. But today? No way.

Feeling smug, she noticed his lips still hadn't left hers. He continued to kiss her wantonly, pressing once again toward the entrance, trying to force it open.

Anger rose in her. This bastard. Why won't he give up? Doesn't it hurt?

Pearl Su clenched tight, no matter how he tried to pry her open.

Ah…

Suddenly, a sharp pain hit her jaw, forcing her mouth open with a gasp. His skilled tongue quickly slipped inside, exploring every corner violently and wildly.

Muffled cries spilled from her lips as her jaw ached and her body struggled.

But it was useless.

His forceful invasion didn't stop until she had no strength left. She could only let out weak sounds, like a puddle of soft water, letting him do whatever he wanted.

Finally satisfied, Alaric Yun pulled away. His deep eyes stared at her bare, flushed face, free of bridal makeup, soft from emotion. In her clear eyes, he saw his own reflection.

He smiled. "Didn't expect you to be so mischievous. I really like this side of you."

Pearl Su felt like she'd explode from anger but could only curse him in her heart. Stupid man.

"Now, let me do the thing you enjoy most," Alaric Yun grinned wickedly.

Pearl Su…

She had been utterly defeated by his shamelessness.

To be honest, his technique last night had been a bit too smooth. She was beginning to suspect he had practiced somewhere before.

The two tangled in the room all morning. Lunch was delivered to the outer room.

Pearl Su was starving. When the scent of food reached her, her stomach growled loudly in response.

She turned her head to glare at the man still lying beside her, with one hand casually draped over her.

Alaric Yun pretended to be confused. "What's wrong, wife?"

Pearl Su clenched her teeth in frustration and glared at him.

She thought to herself: What else could it be? Of course I want food. Can't you hear my stomach?

"If you need something, just tell me," Alaric Yun said, still looking clueless but hopeful.

Pearl Su's glare grew sharper, her eyes practically shooting arrows.

Alaric Yun chuckled softly. "If you don't say anything, how would I know what you want?"

"Food," Pearl Su snapped.

"What was that?" he asked with fake confusion.

"Food," she said again, even more annoyed.

"Pearl Su, when you're eating, that's not how you say it. You should say 'husband,'" Alaric Yun corrected her with a playful smile.

His hand on her waist began to move restlessly, lifting her thin clothes and slipping underneath, roaming wildly.

Enduring his movements, Pearl Su's eyes blazed with fury. If she could, she'd jump up and beat this shameless man to death.

"Are you eating or not..." she growled through clenched teeth.

Alaric Yun looked completely at ease, smiling at her without saying a word. But his hand continued to move, now rubbing and kneading her empty stomach.

"Eat," Pearl Su gritted out again.

"Say husband," Alaric Yun said with a grin.

Clenching her teeth… holding it in…

Her hungry belly was brushed by his large hand, light and soft like feathers sweeping across her skin.

Pearl Su took a deep breath to calm herself. Staring at his relaxed, smug face, she ground out, "Husband."

"Mm," Alaric Yun responded. "What is it, my wife?"

She inhaled again and said through gritted teeth, "Husband, it's time to eat."

"Oh, so my wife wants to dine. Do you want your husband to serve you?" he said happily.

Endure it...

"I need to trouble my husband to serve me the meal."

"Serving my wife is my duty. You don't need to thank me," Alaric Yun said, planting a kiss on her cheek.

…Pearl Su: I thank your whole damn family.

Finally, Alaric Yun was willing to help her put on her outer robe. He carried her through layers of sheer curtains, helped her wash up, and brought her to the table. The two sat close together.

On the table were five dishes and a soup: chilled venison, braised wild goose, roasted pigeon, steamed fish, stir-fried greens with garlic, and chicken soup.

Not surprisingly, the first bite he placed in front of her was a piece of roasted pigeon.

Pearl Su froze for a second, then ate it.

She suddenly remembered she'd eaten his roasted pigeon before, and had enjoyed it a lot back then.

Thoughts spun in her mind: Was he trying to remind her of how good he'd been to her? All his hard work? His obedience?

Hmph. Keep dreaming. She wasn't going to remember any of that.

Silently, she continued eating the pigeon. It tasted good—definitely better than the awful food that dog of a man had made before.

She wasn't about to let her stomach suffer. Whatever he gave her, she would eat it. After all, the chef at the marquis's residence had decent skills.

Pearl Su finished chewing the meat and waited for the next bite. But when nothing came, she looked up in confusion. Alaric Yun's extremely handsome face was turned toward her, watching her with a charming, alluring smile.

"Does my wife find it tasty?"

"...Yes."

"Then if there's something my wife wants to eat, just tell your husband."

"...Fish."

"Hmm? What did my wife say she wanted?"

…Clench teeth…

"Fish."

"Hmm? Say it again. Your... husband... didn't... hear... clearly."

She was going to kill him…

"Husband, I want to eat fish." Finally, Pearl Su gave in.

"Haha, alright. Your husband will get it for you right away," Alaric Yun laughed.

Pearl Su: …Endure it…
