Scene: The eastern gate of the Meridian High Academy of Magic.
The gate was towering, lined with ancient aronian inscriptions pulsing with invisible energy, as if to judge those entering before they were allowed through.
Students filed in, wearing uniforms bearing various insignia representing their specialties: fire, water, air, earth, light, shadow... and sometimes rare symbols that concealed more than they revealed.
Nava appeared quietly, unobtrusively... or so he intended.
But everyone who passed by felt something strange: a sensation of dizziness, of sinking, of fading for a moment... and then of fading.
He stopped in front of the gate, where an elderly guard stood, with magical eyes that discerned souls, leaning on a staff studded with a red gem.
Guard (in a gruff voice):
"Name, specialty, and purpose of entry.
Nava (in a lifeless calm):
My name is... Kuro Nava.
No specific specialty... yet.
Purpose?... Learning.
The guard raised his eyebrow, sensing something unfamiliar about this boy.
But he didn't find it in his heart to reject it...in fact, he was afraid to.
He looked at the jewel in his staff, and it dimmed for a moment before igniting a rare purple color, one he hadn't seen in decades.
Guardian (muttering):
Violet... again?! This... is impossible...
Then he said in a trembling voice:
Welcome to Meridian Academy, boy.
He opened the gate, and when Nava stepped inside, the atmosphere changed completely.
It was as if the academy itself sensed his entrance.
The towers trembled slightly, and the magic in the air fluctuated like a wind from which it was unknown where it came.
The headmaster, in the highest tower, suddenly opened his eyes, and He muttered:
An entity... without a history.
As for Nava, he continued walking quietly inside the campus, among the crowds, as if he were just an ordinary student.
But his shadow, still moving in the opposite direction, looked at everything...
with thousands of eyes.
