Chapter 41 - Ch. 041 - Reporting In [2]

I couldn't describe the horrors of what me and my squad had seen in planet Kuria. What was used to be a peaceful world, has transformed into a silent horror filled with countless black spikes with corpses hanging on the top. The beautiful, green world now looks like hell. Its lively forest was dead. Billions of lives have turned into corpses. The vast, blue waters was replaced with pool of blood.

Every kurians that I knew and befriended back then when I was a private were all dead. The sweet scent of the world was gone as well, superseded with an unpleasant, sulfur odor that brought death to the world.

However, that wasn't the horrifying part. What we saw deep underground of the planet was something out of a horror story that my mother used to tell me when I was a child.

Bones, decaying corpses, intestines, hearts, pieces of brains from various kurians, and lastly...

"Guardians from our army."

As we went deeper below the planet's surface, we realized too late that we were dealing against a genius foe. We didn't even notice it until we went deeper underground in hopes of reaching the Planet Core. Assuming that the core was still active.

The genius mad foe hid the array so well, that by the time we met resistance, we couldn't use Force at all due to the Anti-Energy Arrays being activated. Even though we split up to find the source of the arrays, we couldn't find anything at all. So, we fought without Force under the darkness, where there was not a hint of light shining through.

"Kurian corpses, Zolgarian corpses, Guardian corpses, and Anti-Energy Array that blocks energy around the vicinity. Sounds to me that a Black Hole member is part of this destruction." An officer said. He was a lieutenant colonel.

"To make matters worse, they also raided the camp as well, where Zolgar's Planet Core is hidden underneath." Another officer said. This time, it was a major.

"This cannot be a coincidence." Our captain spoke. "Black Hole is known for ruthlessly slaughtering lives before they steal the essence of a Planet Core. The fact that the entire population of Kuria has been reduce to zero just proves it."

"Speaking of the Planet Core, what happened to its core? Was it still there? Was it gone?" Another captain asked.

"It was still there. But I don't think I could call it a Planet Core, sir." I said while my voice was filled with nervousness.

"What did you see?"

"I don't know what to call it. I have never seen anything like it. I tried to look in the history archives, but it wasn't recorded. It just appeared there. Like it was there. Yet it wasn't." I said. As I say each word, my voice trembled more. The officers noticed it to, but they just sucked in and gulped.

Of all the missions I have partaken, this was the first time I experienced fear. It isn't that I was scared of our opponent. I know and we know who we were dealing against with. Rather, I was afraid of the unknown that not even the archives know. The unknown object that we witnessed that day and only a Black Hole member knows could only mean one thing.

They have something terror to bring to us and we don't know how to stop it.
