'This is so fucking stupid, but I'm gonna need that angry bastard if I'm gonna survive this. There is no way I'm gonna survive this is I go at it solo. I need more allies.' Xavier thought as he walked through the forest full of creepy trees. He tried to stick close to the trees to avoid detection as much as possible, but that was almost impossible in the midday sun. He also kept his senses peeled for the slightest sound or movement, with his sword in his hand, ready.
After walking for a few minutes, Xavier used the time to contemplate what he should do if he somehow makes it out of this alive. He still had ten points left and he thought about using it to buy some bandages or something to help Mickey, but quickly decided against it, with a disgusted look on his face.
'I've already helped that bastard enough.' He thought and instead used the points to increase his strength attribute by one. Not soon after, he ran into four imps sitting on a tree branch and he quickly hid behind a tree. After observing them for a few minutes, he realized that they were scouts of some kind, keeping a look out. As he wondered what he could do, Xavier spotted a few stones on the ground and smiled.
'Let's see how smart these bastards are.' Xavier thought as he carefully picked up a stone. One of the imps were looking in his direction and he was not sure just how good their eyes sight was, but at this point, it was all or nothing. Looking at the imps from behind the tree, Xavier gripped the stone and threw it towards one of the imps.
"Screee." The imp screeched and dodged the stone before flying towards Xavier's direction.
'I guess their pretty smart.' Xavier thought, before taking up another stone and throwing it towards the imp. With it being so close and the stone moving so fast, the stone struck the imp square in the jaw, but it didn't do nearly as much damaged as he hoped. Rushing forward, Xavier dodged a claw attack from the imp, before swinging around and slashing at it with his sword. The imp screeched in pain as blood gushed from it's side. Hearing the screech, the other three imps realized that something was wrong and quickly flew towards their fellow monster.
Gritting his teeth, Xavier threw the sword at the imp, which it easily dodged, and unstrapped a copper dagger from his legs. Rushing towards the monster, he grabbed the monster's outstretched hand and slammed it into the ground. The imp screeched, and stabbed it in it's open mouth with his dagger. He quickly pulled out the dagger and prepared to fight the other imps. Seeing him kill their companion, they circled him like vultures, while screeching angrily and he pulled out the sword on his back, holding it one hand along with the dagger.
Losing their patience, the imps dove towards him and when they were close, he dived out of their encirclement. The closest imp flew towards him, and he spun around, delivering a slash across it's chest, forcing it to retreat. Another imp came flying in and he quickly blocked it's claw with his dagger, which resulted in a large amount of sparks. Xavier pushed the imp off with his dagger, when suddenly he felt his hair stand on end, as the last imp came flying in and slashed him in the back.
Xavier gritted his teeth and thanked the heavens that the wound wasn't too deep. He looked up at the three imps flying in the air and clicked his tongue, the one that was slashed in the chest has stopped bleeding and was glaring at him. The three of them flew towards him once more, and this time, Xavier didn't wait for them to meet him, but kicked off the ground and jumped towards them. Catching them off guard, Xavier managed to cut deeply into the neck of an imp, causing blood to gush from his neck.
Releasing the hilt of his sword, he grabbed the horn of another imp and stabbed it in the neck with his dagger. The last imp slashed it's claw at him, but he used the body of the imp he just stabbed to block the imp's attack. The imp in his hand went limp after this as they both fell to the ground and he flashed the last imp a mocking smile. This seems to enrage the imp, as it flew towards the falling human, slashing it's claws at him, but he grabbed it's hand, surprising it. Xavier crashed into the ground, and groaned as his back absorbed most of thd impact, but he quickly shrugged it off. He pinned the surprisingly strong imp on the ground, but to his body weight, he was able to barely keep it from escaping. He took out his second dagger and stabbed it in the mouth. It struggled for a bit longed, until finally, it died.
