Baek Yoosung punched Jo Jung-hwa in the face—the short club leader barely managing to block the almost invisible attack with his rapier, the edge of the blade chipping off.
The Mage launched a flurry of attacks—fireballs, lightning bolts and such. But Baek? He just weaved through all of them. Reaching her near instantly.
"You're the weak link. Always have been, ugly princess."
But before Baek Yoosung could punch her, Dan Daesung stepped in front of the girl—barely tanking the hit as the muscles of his muscles abdomen all contracted.
They tightened up, forming a shield. But despite that the wind was knocked out of him, his lungs failing him, refusing to take in air.
'It's like getting hit by a cannonball! Just how high are his stats?!'
Dan Daesung thought to himself as he managed to headbutt Baek Yoosung away—but it felt like he hit a brick wall wrapped up in silk, no grunt, no oof. Just pure denial.
Jo Jung-hwa jumped up onto Baek Yoosung's back—rapier aimed at the latter's neck, but he was promptly thrown off as Baek Yoosung spun around like a tornado.
"Short stuff."
Jo Jung-hwa was disoriented, his head spinning as he once again, got struck in the face by Baek Yoosung's fist but instead of using his damaged rapier. He renewed it.
The rapier was covered in golden light that shattered like glass—changing it into a long-sword—its jagged edge golden and the blade itself a deep blue, the handle wrapped with a blue and black bandage,
Baek Yoosung squinted his eyes at the new sword—taking advantage of this momentary distraction Hae Kwan dashed forward, kicking Baek Yoosung in the back of the knee, making him fall to the ground.
Baek Yoosung grabbed onto Hae Kwan's leg slamming him onto the ground as the hooded club leader let out a gasp of pain—Baek Yoosung wasn't allowed to breath, blocking a slash from Jo Jung-hwa with his forearm—the sword lit up in flames.
Baek Yoosung hissed in pain, quickly getting up to knee Jo Jung-hwa in the chest, the bones of Jo Jung-hwa's ribs cracking slightly under the immense strength of the attack.
But—Baek Yoosung temporarily forgot about The Mage and just when he turned around, he was hit by a large bolt of lightning that sent him flying backwards—hurtling like a bullet as he hit the wall.
"These guys have grown a lot. They've probably become twice as strong—no. Thrice as strong seems a bit more correct. I should maybe use a skill now.'
He slowly stood up, watching the club leaders stand up straight once more—confidence renewed and Dan Daesung even feeling that maybe, just maybe. They might win.
'I think if we play our cards right.. We should be the ones walking away now-'
His thoughts were immediately silenced—seeing Baek Yoosung take his jacket off—his expression now completely serious, showing that he was no longer messing around.
A ghost like apparition of a well dressed young man in a black and white tracksuit with long—waist-length black hair and mismatched golden and purple eyes appearing behind him, the apparition surrounded by an eerie aura.
'That.. That's him? The strongest student from the G.N.U!'
That was The Mage's only thought before she got knocked out—Baek Yoosung punching her in the face, his hair spiking up—pulses of lightning appearing around his body.
'I could have beaten their faces in a few years back... But I guess I am going blind, so lets do this. One last time. Godspeed.'
He blitzed around like a bolt of lightning—leaving a trail of afterimages behind him as he landed a spinning kick on Jo Jung-hwa—the latter blocking the kick but the sheer force broke his sword, making the shards fall to the ground.
Jo Jung-hwa's eyes widened but Baek Yoosung didn't let up—his attacks seeming to come from all directions as he bombarded the club leader with punches, kicks, knees.
Nearly every proper attack known to man was executed on Jo Jung-hwa in just a few seconds.
Dan Daesung jumped into action. Landing a large downwards slash from his broadsword on Baek Yoosung.. Or at least that's what he thought. He didn't actually strike Baek Yoosung, he struck an after image, the real one?
He was already behind Dan Daesung.
Baek Yoosung bent his fingers back—striking Dan Daesung in the back with his palm. The sound echoing through the courtyard as Dan Daesung, the girl and Jo Jung-hwa were on the ground, defeated.
Hae Kwan stood silently. Hands in his pockets as he looked at Baek Yoosung walking towards him, a small smirk on the copycat's face.
Hae Kwan put his hands up in surrender, letting out a small sigh of exhaustion—but strangely. He wasn't afraid nor was he nervous.
"You win every time. I lose every time. Simple ain't it?"
Baek Yoosung's eyes popped open in surprise—the sudden surrender catching him off guard. Especially Hae Kwan, one of the more strong club leaders.
"What?"
Hae Kwan chuckled—his hands falling to his side as he spoke. Casual and nonchalant—that was the proper way to describe him right now.
"You see. I just wanted to test you out—the others also wanted to show you that their a bit stronger. Since its inevitable that you lose your eye sight. We decided to do stuff that might anger you."
Baek Yoosung's eyes widened further if that was even possible—they almost looked like they might just pop out of their sockets.
Hae Kwan took a few steps towards him, his voice turning a bit more serious and dropping down to just shy of a whisper—he didn't want anyone to know about whatever he was about to say.
"The Alchemist And Medicinal Guild. They've partenered together with the school to create a medicine for your eyes. It'll be ready in a year or so, until then we need a new apex predator here don't ya think?"
Baek Yoosung's expression hardening—jaw clenching and un-clenching. He was trying not to just punch Hae Kwan in the face again and again, the much was evident.
He turned away, silently stepping away from Hae Kwan—but just before leaving. He turned around, eyes narrowed as he replied. His words filled with confidence.
"Sae Jaehyun. Hyuk Ji Won. They'll be the next 'apex' predator. Even if they don't want to be the best, I'll whip them into shape."
