Chapter 14 - The Mansion of Lucifer

Xiandre and Amelia, along with Morn, exited the basement door of Tubal's smithy. Morn locked the door shut as the three walked up the stairs.

Above, they reached the back door and opened it. As they exited, they found Tubal handing a customer a sword he had just finished crafting.

The customer looked at it with disgust, threw it to the ground, spat on Tubal's work, and exited the smithy.

Xiandre and the others approached Tubal as Morn tossed him the basement key.

"You really need to stand up for yourself now, don't you?" Morn asked.

Tubal sighed. "It doesn't matter at the end of the day. I'm just Paimon's slave. No way I'd fight off one of his royal knights."

"Well, that's fair. This is Hell, after all, hehe," Morn replied with a shrug.

Tubal glanced at the three, and his attention immediately turned toward Xiandre.

"T-That armor... IT CAN'T BE?!" Tubal exclaimed, falling to the floor in shock.

"I guess it can't be helped, can it?" Morn said casually.

"Impossible?! This can't be real?!" Tubal blurted out. "That armor is something only the Supreme can wear..."

"It turns out one of your fellow customers is actually an... angel? No, probably a fallen one! Wait, no—he did confirm he's from another world, right? OHHH—does that mean he's a D.e.i.t...y???" Morn exclaimed.

"Anyways, we'll take our leave now," Morn added as he turned to go exiting the Smithy.

Xiandre turned to Tubal-Cain.

"Listen here... You, with that black armor, that armor is—" Tubal began.

"I know. Morn told me," Xiandre replied.

"Xiandre, something feels off, don't you think?" Amelia asked.

"Yeah, and I think I've figured it out," Xiandre replied.

"Huh? What is it?" Amelia questioned.

"You haven't noticed yet?" Xiandre said.

"W-Well, I guess I have... Let's just continue. We'll escape here in the end anyway," Amelia responded.

Xiandre turned his head back to Tubal and immediately saw that his head was gone. Blood spurted from his neck. His head had silently exploded while they weren't paying attention — Tubal was dead and gone.

Xiandre sighed as blood splattered in his armour. "Let's go."

Amelia followed as the two exited the smithy.

"Yo, hello, both of you. Let's head to the Inferno Boutique," Morn said.

"Alright," Xiandre responded.

The three began walking the streets as Morn pointed at a small shop in the distance.

"That should be it," Morn said as he ran across the road.

Amelia and Xiandre followed and entered the shop with him.

At the counter, a woman sat asleep, her head resting against the desk. Morn yelled out, waking her immediately.

"Yooo, Velmora! Why are you sleeping at work? Sinners could steal from you easily!"

"They'd be dead before they try," she replied.

She lifted her head and noticed the two people behind Morn.

"Huh? Visitors? Since when did you bring visitors?!" she asked.

"No need to bother about that. These two just need some clothing," Morn said.

"Yeah... But," Velmora glanced at Xiandre and immediately became flustered. His intimidating presence, the aura from his armor — it overwhelmed her.

She spaced out, staring at Xiandre, her mouth slightly open, saliva dripping from her lip.

"Ehhhh..." she muttered.

"Uhh, Velmora, are you good?" Morn asked.

Velmora immediately snapped back to reality, shaking her head intensely.

"Eh—I mean, y-yeah, um, what is it again?" she stammered.

"I want to get new clothing, 'cause this school uniform really isn't good for this new world, and I'm not about to be a high school girl everywhere I go," Amelia said.

"Oh yes, yes, well," Velmora replied. "Alright, I know just the best one for you!"

Velmora stepped out from behind the counter, took Amelia's hand, and led her into the changing room, grabbing a few outfits from the premium hangers.

"Well, I guess that was easy," Morn said.

Inside the changing room, Velmora watched Amelia's figure closely as she looked through the clothes in her hands.

"You have quite the petite body, yet what makes you stand out is your cute and beautiful face. Your skin is pale, which makes you look like an honorable beauty," she commented.

"You really think so? Thank you so much!" Amelia replied.

"Yeah, here, try this," Velmora offered a rather revealing outfit.

"Um... maybe not that. Do you think you could find me something an adventurer would wear?" Amelia asked.

"Here, take this, then," Velmora said, handing her black gloves and a dark outfit with tight jeans and sleeves. The fabric outlined Amelia's curves while remaining modest.

"Uwaa, this is so cute," Amelia grinned.

"Yeah, I think that's better if you don't want something too revealing," Velmora replied.

"Hey, do you wanna know something really cool?" Amelia asked, blushing.

"Uh, what is it?" Velmora asked.

"Did you know Xiandre — the one in the knight armor you saw earlier — has a—" Amelia began.

Xiandre and Morn were waiting outside in silence as Amelia came out of the changing room, waving at them.

"Uwaa, Xiandre, what do you think?" she asked.

"Y-You look very adorable and cute, Amelia," Xiandre said, blushing slightly under his helmet.

"Um, where's Velmora?" Morn asked.

"Ehh, she's inside. She's a bit... unstable right now, hehe," Amelia said.

Morn approached the changing room. As he entered, he saw Velmora on the floor, blushing beet red, mumbling to herself.

"T-Twelve i-inches?!" she blurted out.

"W-What are you talking about?!" Morn exclaimed.

Xiandre left a bag of infernite coins on the counter as he and Amelia exited the boutique and began walking away.

Morn noticed and followed after them.

The three headed north, this time toward the mansion of Lucifer.

As they approached the structure, a massive mansion came into view.

Morn followed behind, noting the sinners casually walking the streets. Some stared at Xiandre's armor; others didn't.

When the three reached the mansion gate, two demons stood guard.

They saw Xiandre and immediately pointed their massive red tridents at him.

But bones suddenly pierced out of the ground, killing the guards instantly.

Xiandre pulled out his sword and slashed through the gates as if they were paper.

The surrounding sinners watched but did not interfere as Xiandre and the others entered.

More demon guards appeared, but relentless bones erupted from the ground, striking them down. None could get near.

Finally, black knights emerged from the castle.

Ten of them appeared and charged with no hesitation.

As the bones shot up, the knights jumped and dodged.

One knight tried to slash Xiandre, but his sword bounced off the armor. Xiandre countered, slashing the knight's waist open.

Another attacked Amelia, but she teleported before the blow could land. More attempted to strike her, but she was too fast. She kept teleporting and summoned a Skull Blaster in front of them.

With a blast, Amelia turned her hand into a fist, vaporizing seven of the knights.

Xiandre easily cut down the last two with his sword as they continued into the castle.

More knights showed up, but Xiandre and Amelia dominated them.

"Guys, follow me. This should be the way to his bedroom, where he should be," Morn said.

The two followed climbing the stairs as more black knights charged at them. Xiandre and Amelia defended themselves as the demons kept coming, fearless.

Xiandre slashed a wall open to block the passage, but the black knights broke through.

One charged Xiandre, who parried the knight's sword, cutting it in half, then kicked the knight's head with a swift blow, cracking it open.

Amelia kept blasting her Skull Blasters, but more enemies kept arriving.

They followed Morn, but just ahead, a demoness in a maid outfit appeared before them.

Amelia moved to cover the rear, keeping the black knights at bay, while Xiandre faced the maid.

"That's Emma. She's the main lead of this mansion. Be careful — she's strong," Morn warned, backing up slightly.

Xiandre stood ready. Without warning, Emma launched herself at him, pulling a pin from her skirt.

She threw all of them at Xiandre, but they didn't even scratch him. Xiandre charged and grabbed her by the throat, choking her.

"Ghhk..." she choked out.

Xiandre threw her across the building, sending her crashing down seven stories.

He turned back, seeing the final bedroom just ahead.

He and Morn rushed toward it as Amelia broke off and sprinted to follow, still fending off black knights.

The three burst in — and everything went silent. The black knights vanished. The entire mansion began to glitch.

Xiandre and Amelia looked around. The door behind them was gone. The large room's walls flickered, glitching and shifting colors.

"Shit. Looks like Lucifer is hiding. Somewhere," Morn said. "You guys need to find out where he is, and if you do — SHOUT IT! CALL HIM OUT!"

Xiandre's eyes grew serious as he sighed. Amelia, too, prepared herself.

Then, before morn could react — bones pierced through he's chest, legs, arms, shoulders, and finally a sword thrust into his heart from behind by Xiandre.

"You can't be serious, can you?" Xiandre said.

"..."

"..."

"..."

The room turned black. Silence.

"Hihi," Morn giggled.

"Heheheheheheh," Morn continued. "AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

He teleported a step back, nails sharpening. He pierced through his own cheeks, ripping them open with his claws, blood pouring out as he laughed maniacally.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHA!" His voice grew louder and cracked. His eyes popped from their sockets. His teeth fell out, replaced by sharp fangs. He pierced both palms, then stabbed his own chest, ripping out his pierced heart making him a human blood fountain.

"AHAHAHAHAHA!" he screamed as he tore off his left limb. Blood gushed as intestines and organs spilled from his torso.

He turned his hollow eyes toward Xiandre — only to find Xiandre already in front of him.

Xiandre grabbed his jaw, ripped it open, tore out his tongue, wrapped it around his neck, and headbutted him with his helmet.

Morn flew back several meters, crashing into the ground. Bones erupted from below, piercing him as Amelia summoned Death Blasters to continuously blast him into dust.

Suddenly, a roar echoed behind them. A blue trident shot toward Amelia — she barely blocked it with bone just in time.

"Looks like I'm fighting you now — not Xiandre. This will be interesting indeed," Leviathan said.

"Huh?! I thought we defeated you!" Amelia exclaimed, teleporting back.

"Oh please. Did you really think crushing me with rocks would defeat a literal Demon King? I, along with Lucifer and Beelzebub, rule Hell with supreme authority," Leviathan replied.

Meanwhile, Morn's ashes turned to liquid, then reformed. A new aura surrounded him.

"I guess you already knew... but I am Lucifer himself. Lucifer Morningstar," he said.
