So… this is death.
I still can't believe I died. And to make matters worse, I don't even remember who I was. All I remember was that I was fighting this guy, and someone stabbed me and told me I had a few years to live. I also recall dying in the arms of someone.
I felt nothing. No pain. No body. Just silence, as if I were sinking endlessly into a bottomless, dark sea. There was no fear, no struggle—just the cold embrace of the abyss swallowing me whole.
But then… I saw it.
A light. Faint at first, shimmering at the top of this endless void like the sun breaking through the ocean's surface. Without thinking, I swam towards it. Or at least, I tried. It was strange—my body didn't feel real, but somehow, I moved. Faster and faster, as if drawn by an unseen force.
The moment I touched the light—
My eyes snapped open.
A rush of warmth. The sensation of something soft wrapped around me. Blurred shapes above me. Voices.
Mira smiled warmly as she gazed at her adorable child.
"Hawnnn awn, oh Luck! Our baby is so cute!"
I tried to move, but my limbs wouldn't respond the way I expected. My vision cleared slightly, revealing the face of a beautiful woman with white hair and crystal blue eyes. She was smiling down at me with tears in her eyes. Beside her, a man with black hair and sharp features held her hand, his expression a mix of awe and pride.
Luck shed tears of joy.
"Yap, future ladies better watch out!"
"What should we name him?" Luck said.
"I think Rey is good," Mira replied.
What is it? What are they talking about? Who are these people? The lady on the left is kinda cute… but who are these people, seriously? Rey stretched his right arm. What am I… a baby, I guess.
Then Luck said,
"Noooo, I've thought of a perfect name! What about Reyley? The name fits him—he has white hair and white lashes."
Did I get reincarnated?
Yes, you got reincarnated.
Who said that?
I tried to speak, to ask what was going on, but all that came out was a tiny, helpless cry.
No way…
I've been reborn.
