The soldier stays quiet but thinks, "This guy will get himself and us killed. Ya Allah, help me."
He's very scared. But Qasim remains calm and thinks, "He's brave but too arrogant."
As they enter the left path, the Masked Man senses something, places his hand on his sword. A flying arrow nearly hits his horse, but he cuts it mid-air and says,
"Get to the side quickly. Looks like we've got guests!"
Qasim thinks, "Impressive," but stays quiet to hide his identity.
A group of seven bandits appears—only three have swords, one has a bow and arrow.
They surround Masked Man, Qasim, and the soldier Hashim.
They say, "Let's see what goods you've got. It's been a while since our last hunt, right, boys?"
They all agree. The leader says, "Give us your stuff or die!"
The Masked Man strikes the leader at a weak spot, injuring but not killing him.
The rest of the gang gets scared and say, "What have you done?"
They attack. Qasim thinks, "Is he mad? So much arrogance? I must act now or I'll be stuck too."
The archer is about to shoot—Qasim tells Hashim, "Run!"
Hashim replies, "Why should I run? I don't want to die."
Qasim insists. He refuses.
Then Qasim removes his mask and says, "It's me!"
Hashim replies, "Qasim Sir!"
Qasim says, "Keep your voice down. I'm putting the mask back on. Do what I say!"
The Masked Man is surrounded, still fighting.
The archer aims, but Qasim breaks his arm before he can fire.
Then he kicks and knocks him down, stabs the other arm—rendering him useless.
Masked Man wounds another enemy but is also injured.
Qasim thinks, "How can I help him without revealing myself?"
Then he tells Hashim, "Listen. I'll fight them, but don't let him know I did it. Got it?"
Hashim confusedly says, "You mean you'll fight, but I'll take credit?"
Qasim replies, "Exactly. You got it!"
Qasim attacks the bandits with a knife. Masked Man finishes off the last sword-wielding bandit.
He says, "Today is your lucky day. It's my mom's birthday, so I spared your lives!"
Qasim is impressed. Masked Man thinks Hashim handled everything and praises him.
"See? Easy, right? You're strong. Why were you scared?"
Hashim replies, "I'm a soldier too. I can handle things."
Masked Man asks, "Where is that poor guy?"
Qasim, already hiding in his earlier spot, pretends to be scared.
The Masked Man finds him trembling and says, "Oh uncle, don't be scared. We beat all the bandits. Now get up, let's go."
Qasim laughs internally, "Phew! Got away. I almost died, or got exposed!"
He says, "Thank God they're gone. I'm okay now."
Masked Man laughs and taunts, "Yeah, otherwise who would feed your poor children?"
Qasim gets annoyed. The Masked Man takes the bandits' stuff.
Hashim tells Qasim, "I told you this path was dangerous. This was just the beginning. Who knows what's next?"
Qasim says, "Nothing will happen. Let's go."
Hashim
asks, "What do we do with these injured bandits?"
Masked Man smiles and says, "I know
exactly what to do!"
Hashim follows him and says, "What are you going to do? What do you know?"
The Masked Man says, "Be quiet. And go wait for me. Give me some time, I'll come back, then we'll start the journey again."
Qasim is sitting near the horse, and Hashim also comes to him and says angrily,
"What does he think of himself? Giving orders like that! If he didn't have the king's letter, I'd show him!"
Qasim asks, "Oh really? So you would fight him again? Even after seeing everything, you still think you could take him on?"
Hashim says, "Yes, I could."
So Qasim says, "Then why were you so scared of this path?"
Hashim goes silent and just sits quietly.
After some time, the Masked Man returns and says, "Now let's go."
Hashim asks, "But what about them?"
He says, "What about them? You do what you were told. Understand?
We must complete the journey. Just because there was an attack today doesn't mean we sit and rest. No—we'll travel today exactly as much as I had planned."
Qasim Says He is Right Today we will travel only as much as we need to, this will also save our time, the mask man says, did you see he understand what i was saying.
The masked man asks Qasim that if your kids are hungry then if you are away then who will feed them, now here Qasim gets into trouble.
Qasim says that I had promised My daughter That i will bring a gift for her and i say to her mother that I will make arrangements for dinner and whatever was left which will barely last for two days; Mask man says yes, it's okay
Qasim shows cleverness here, he has come to know that the masked man is getting suspicious about him but Qasim is saving himself in a very smart way
