Chapter 16 - The Beginning of the Transformation

After that dinner at the five-star restaurant, Jin left with his head burning. The conversations, the dirty business, and the way his father manipulated everything behind the facade of a good man awakened something inside him. For the first time, Jin saw clearly the world he was really involved in. This wasn't about him anymore. It was about power, territory, and respect.

As soon as he got home, he threw the expensive suit on the couch, took a deep breath, and grabbed his phone. Seo Mira's messages were already there, demanding he show up early the next day to start training. He replied with a simple "I'll be there" and went straight to the shower without saying a word to anyone.

The next morning, before the sun even rose, Jin was already up. Leon came to pick him up, but the atmosphere between them was more serious than ever. No jokes, no teasing. It was time to change.

Arriving at the meeting spot, a mountainous area far from the city, Jin found Seo Mira waiting. She wore light training clothes and carried a cold, ruthless expression. Wasting no time, she threw steel weights onto Jin's wrists and ankles.

— From today on, you're going to train like a monster. You'll swim with these weights on your feet, run for miles uphill, and fight until your bones ache. Understood? — Seo Mira said, staring intensely at Jin.

The training started brutally. Jin was thrown into an icy river, with weights strapped to his ankles, forced to swim against the current. The pressure of the water hitting his body made every movement harder, but he wouldn't give up. His muscles screamed, air was scarce, but the image of the dinner from the night before flooded his mind, and that kept him going.

After that, hours of running up the mountain with the same weights, forcing his lungs to adapt to the new demands. Every step was a fight against his own body, begging to stop. Seo Mira only watched, merciless.

— Do you want to be just another nobody, or do you want to make the world kneel? — she shouted as Jin slipped in the mud, drenched in sweat and out of breath.

By the end of the training, Jin could already feel his body reacting. The pain came, but with it a different kind of resistance. He realized something was changing. Not just his physique. His mind too. Less space for mercy, more hunger to crush anyone in his way.

Before heading back to the city, Seo Mira warned:

— Tomorrow, at school, I want you to show them who you are. If you find trash acting tough, don't hesitate.

Jin just nodded and headed home. In the mirror, he noticed his muscles becoming more defined, and even his height seemed to have increased by a few centimeters. He ran his hands over his arms and shoulders, feeling a new density.

On the way to school in the late afternoon, Jin and Leon walked in silence, each lost in their own thoughts. But one thing was clear: from that day on, Jin would never be the same. He realized…
