Would you like to equip the uniform?
After I accepted the prompt, my worn-out clothes transformed into a beautiful black suit with elegant crimson-red accents. The crest of the school, The Golden Veil, was proudly displayed on the top right of the chest.
"The uniform was obviously part of the entrance fee," said the teacher.
Once that was settled, the teacher explained the level system to us. But it was clear that most of the students already knew about it before even arriving at the school.
The only really interesting part was how exactly to reach the end of your chosen path. You have to be strict with yourself and organize everything you do. If something doesn't align with your path, then you shouldn't do it—no matter how tempting.
After our introductory session ended, I switched rooms and headed to the combat training hall, where a new teacher waited for us.
This time, a young man with white hair entered. His presence alone made it clear: this man was powerful.
"My name is Woko, and the upcoming lessons in hand-to-hand combat will be very demanding," he said."We'll start training immediately."
He continued:
"Hand-to-hand combat focuses on channeling your magic directly into your limbs. Every blood cell in your body should follow your intent—for example, when you try to kick someone. To achieve that, you must first unlock the skill called Magical Punch."
"And if you think this is the same as magical combat, you're completely wrong. There are different types of magic—exactly five. In my opinion, choosing hand-to-hand combat was the best decision you could make."
"The type of magic we use is called Demon Magic. How these types were created will be explained later in history class."
"Now, follow me to the power-assessment room."
We followed him through the hallway and entered a room to the right. It had a cyan-shimmering punching bag in the center. Above us was a glass ceiling, and in the middle of the room stood a large ring. More punching bags—normal ones—surrounded the area. It looked like a classic boxing gym, just like in my old world.
"Form a line and punch the bag," Woko said."I'll note your score and decide who is ready for sparring."
It was a bit disappointing—we were only seven students in this class. But because of that, we had a better chance to grow strong in this field.
The first student, a woman with brown hair and deep green eyes, stepped up and hit the bag like she'd boxed her whole life. You could see the technique in that one strike.
"Your score is exceptional—998!" said the teacher, clearly impressed.
I stood at the back of the line, patiently waiting for my turn.
The other students reached only between 200 and 600 points—nothing special.
Then, it was my turn.
I focused all my energy into my right hand, trying to guide every part of my body to channel my magic into the punch.
When my fist collided with the bag, a thunderous sound filled the entire room.
I didn't know if that was impressive, or if I just accidentally managed to do everything right.I had never been in a real fight. If something ever happened back then, I'd either run—or tell the teacher.
"Impressive," said Woko."Your potential is extremely high. Your score is… unmeasurable."
I was stunned.
Suddenly, a system message appeared before me.
You have leveled up by one level. You now have five attribute points. Please choose where to assign them.
Why did I level up so quickly? That wasn't normal.
I looked closer at the system interface and discovered a section under attributes called Buffs.
Current Buffs:– Reincarnator: You level up twice as fast as a normal person.– Son of a King: Your aura is unmeasurable.
So that's why...That's why everyone looks at me with those eyes. That's why I leveled up so fast.
