The six stood before the special trial grounds of Unit 9—an ancient underground simulation built by the military to test not power, but trust. The gates shut behind them, cutting off all external connection.
A voice echoed from above.
"To proceed, one of you must lose your ability for a day, one must reveal their greatest fear, and one must walk blind."
Everyone froze.
Mira looked down, still shaken from the blood chain trial.
Kevin stepped forward. "I'll lose my ability. No big deal."
Teaha smirked. "I'll go blind. Not like I need eyes to know who to punch."
Nisa spoke, soft but steady. "I'll tell my fear."
Bihoo turned to her instantly. "You don't have to."
She met his gaze, her voice trembling only slightly. "I do. We're a team."
She took a breath. "I'm afraid… of being forgotten. That everything I fight for will vanish someday, and I'll be left invisible."
Bihoo stared at her, shaken. Something in his chest clenched.
They continued through the maze. Traps triggered. Kevin had to think fast without his ability. Teaha relied on sound and instinct. Nisa led them with calm planning, proving her hidden leadership.
At the final gate, a mirror showed each of them what they truly feared. But only Bihoo and Nisa froze.
Nisa saw herself alone in a void, everyone fading.
Bihoo saw Nisa bleeding out, calling his name—but he was too late.
The mirror shattered.
Bihoo rushed to her side without thinking, grabbing her hand.
"You're not invisible," he whispered. "You… you're the only one I see."
Her eyes widened. His were serious.
Then the gate opened, bathing them in golden light.
"Trust Complete."
To be continue...
