The night sky was calm, stars blinking softly above Unit 9's training grounds. After their emotional moment of sharing secrets, the team had grown closer—more than just teammates now, something deeper was forming.
Nisa stood alone near the fence, her fingers tracing the jade tied to her waist. A gentle wind brushed her hair back. That jade... why did Bihoo have the same one?
She didn't realize someone was watching.
Bihoo stood behind a tree, hand on his own jade. He finally stepped forward.
"Nisa," he said softly.
She turned, not startled. "You saw it, didn't you?"
Bihoo nodded. "I didn't mean to. But… mine's the same."
Silence.
Bihoo took out his jade, holding it beside hers. A faint light shimmered between them. The jades reacted—as if two halves of one soul recognizing each other.
"I think… we're connected by something more than this mission," he said, voice trembling.
Nisa looked down, unsure how to answer.
Suddenly, Kevin ran past, yelling, "WHOA, lovebirds under starlight! Mira! Miraaa come see this!!"
Laughter echoed from the barracks. Mira dragged Kevin away, smacking his head.
Back in the silence, Bihoo chuckled. "Ignore him."
"I always do," Nisa smirked.
They stood side by side, jades glowing faintly—unaware that far away, a shadowed figure was watching their moment through a crystal mirror.
"It's starting," the figure murmured. "Just like in the old prophecy…"
