After talking to Mickey, Xavier found out that the items the Orb of Eldara showed was based on the amount of points they had. Mickey said that he was able to see bronze weapons, which were priced between 80 and 100 points. This made Xavier realize that if he wanted the best weapons or items to survive this place, he is going to need more points.
'But that is going to be difficult. I have no doubt in my mind that those bastards are planning to monopolize the monster stones.' Xavier thought as he looked over at the guards.
"Now that everyone has bought there desired weapons, it is time to move out." The Warden said and they were once again split into forty groups with some of the groups being uneven.
"You two, with me." A guard with blue hair, yellow eyes and a bandage over one of his eyes, said, walking towards Xavier and Mickey
"What the fuck did you do?" Mickey whispered angrily
"Me? I should be the one asking you that." Xavier whispered back irritatedly, but quickly shut his mouth when the guard stopped infront of them
"You two will be joining me and heading to the west gate." Leo said, and turned around, and both Xavier and Mickey silently followed. Being led to the group tackling the West gate, both Xavier and Mickey realized thst their group was bigger than the others, both in terms of the number of guards and prisoners, making them realize that something was off.
"Move out!!" Leo said as he took the lead and all of them followed behind. As they walked, Xavier wanted to try and talk to the other prisoners to see if he could learn anything, but Mickey grabbed his hand and shook his head. He gestured towards the guards who seemed to be watching them keenly, and Xavier quickly noticed and stopped any attempt to talk to the other prisoners. They soon came to the West gate, which similarly looked like a space carved out in the wall to make space for a large gate. Stepping through, Xavier wondered if he was in the same forest that he was in the previous day as the trees were completely different.
The trees didn't have leaves on them and were obsidian black in colour with extremely emaciated branches. In other words, they were creepy as hell. There were red apples growing on the trees branches, which surprised Xavier.
"Alright everyone, ready your weapons and be quiet, we are in enemy territory." Leo said, turning around and his eye landed on Xavier and Mickey, who were the only ones that didn't have weapons.
'Is this guy really as useful as the warden thinks?' Leo wondered, but quickly turned back around and continued walking with caution in his steps. As they walked, they passed the area one of the other teams visited, and everyone could see the carnage that happened the previous day. Pieces of half eaten human flesh was littered everywhere, as well as bullet shells and guns. They could see a few dead monsters on the ground, their chest torn out by something with sharp claws. The monsters were the size of a human child, with red skin, a small tail, black horns on either side of their head, razor sharp fangs, long black claws and black, bat like wings on their back.
'What the hell are these things?' Xavier thought as he looked at the monsters on the ground, but his attention soon focused on the guns that littered the ground.
'Maybe I can stash them somewhere and pick them up afterwards. The bags will be useful as well. But where and how exactly am I going to stash them without the guards knowing.' Xavier thought, with ideas flitting through his mind, when he was forced out of his thoughts by loud gunshots.
"We have incoming!!" Leo shouted as he unleashed a barrage of bullets into the air. Looking up, they could see over a dozen imps flying towards them, and the guards quickly started firing at them. Three of the imps fell to the ground, while the others dodged the bullets, making their way closer. The prisoners prepared themselves, holding their weapons with trembling hands. One of the prisoners looked between the sky and the ground nervously, before rushing forward and picking up one of the guns on the ground. He started unleashing a hail of bullets towards the imps, killing one of them.
Following his example, the other prisoners quickly took up the guns lying on the ground and started unleashing it on the imps. The imps screeched in fury, as they got closer, and one of them grabbed a prisoner and lifted him into the air, slashing his face and biting into his neck. This was the beginning of the chaos, as both prisoners and guards alike were forced into close combat with the monsters.
"Damn, that's brutal." Xavier said, as both he and Mickey hid behind a tree.
